Edit: Apologies to UAB posters. Clark is a glaring omission from that list. I would add him, but I don't see that being possible.

That's alright. Apology accepted. Being a UAB fan, of course I'm just a teeny, weeny bit biased. Bill Clark is just an incredible football coach and what he's done with our Blazers should not go unnoticed. But, I'm not blind. What Seth Littrell is doing with North Texas, Doc Holliday with Marshall, Butch Davis at FIU, they've shaken things up in Conference USA. Perhaps the next 3-4 weeks will provide us with the COY. Till then...#UpForGrabs...But from the ones listed, Littrell gets my vote.
Not trying to add locker room bulletin board material here but Marshall has not beaten a team with a winning record yet. Two wins over 2-5 MAC teams and a drubbing of a team that has lost by >30 points four weeks in a row is not a slam-dunk C-USA champ resume to me yet.

Now is Marshall starting to roll? that's for sure. But just like with FIU, neither school has really gotten into its C-USA East season yet. As a matter of fact Marshall has only played Charlotte in all of C-USA play to this point; not to mention a road game to UTSA and a home game against USM to close out the season.

With this said, I still think Marshall is the favorite (not clear nor prohibitive) followed by WKU, FAU, MTSU and FIU. Nothing's been close to decided here and I really think it's going to go down to the last weekend of the season and maybe a tie-breaker or two.
Clark, can't imagine how tough that job's been or that he actually stayed. Littrell I'd bet is on every big program's speed dial for December.. Hope not, incredible job he's done as well.
Littrell.
Clark has a team loaded with guys no one else could have taken.
There, I said it.

@Noodles: "guys no one else could have taken." Can I please ask you to elaborate on that one, sir? I'm just curious...
Littrell is running away with this poll, and deservedly so. I sure would have loved to seen how the vote would have gone with Bill Clark's name up there!
Just post a new poll
Obvious omission here. No Rick Stockstill????

Seriously, how could it not be Bill Clark?

Since joining C-USA, have you noticed a trend v. next week's opponent. 03-shhhh
Bill Clark since 98% of everyone here had UAB as a win written in ink. When he gets to six wins I think Bill wins in a landslide.

And FIU is still friggin FIU.....That noooooooooooooooooooooooo one in the country, state, city or even at the school could care 2 cents about.

United States 323 million
State of FL 20.5 million people
Miami FL 2.7 million
FIU 55K
FIU Stadium on game night -- A Ghost town.

Lol. Yeah, those 2 years of ranked nationally 107st and 71st recruiting classes are loaded!!!

The highest rated guys from those classes didn't make it or aren't playing. No Greg Bryant (he was unfortunately murdered in Florida), Clifton Garret, Brandon Hill, Marquedius Bain, or DJ Law just off the top of my head.

Yes, we were allowed partial qualifiers to get started, but it's not like the average rating of the classes is exactly high. UAB''s team player ranking is very much in the average of CUSA on 247 below FAU, Marshall, LT, USM, MTSU, and UTSA.

You seem really concerned about the fate of programs not on a mountain of goats.

Serious question. Why?

Frankly, no one cares about Marshall either. We, at the present, do not have a school of major interest to anyone in the country, outside of this conference.

Tell me again which nerve I hit 03-lmfao because clearly you've managed to wet your pants over a fairly mild comment here.
I voted for Littrell, but Clark would have gotten my vote over him.

Glad someone had the balls to say it. LOL
He wasn't very specific about which guys were giving us an advantage. Is it the starting linebacker who we picked up from D3. He's an undersized tackling machine. Maybe it's the walk-on running back who has cracked the two deep. Maybe it's the linebacker we've converted to RB, which most haven't seen yet. Trust me, we have talent, but it's Clark putting these guys in the position to succeed that's giving us success. A bad coach could easily screw this up.
