He wasn't going to let us play at Russia anyway (just like Carter in 1980 for the Olympics) so no biggie. I wouldn't be surprised to see us boycott February's Winter Olympics if North Korea is sending any athletes. Plus it's only like 100 miles from the border so for safety reasons, he'll probably follow Carter's lead there.

Mexico must be in mourning this morning. They must have gotten wind we were losing because they allowed 2 goals and their lead pretty darned fast.

BTW speaking of sports and politics, Trump had the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins at the White House yesterday. He called them true champions and incredible patriots (even though only 10 of the 23 players were Americans although I'm surprised the number was that high).

This is one case where I'll give Trump a pass. It wasn't reported very much but when the New England Patriots visited the White House after their Super Bowl win, he called them true champions and incredible penguins for some reason.

I thought he was going to make America great again. Can't even get our team out of CONCACAF

The soccer culture in America is the epitome of cringe, and is centered around Seattle, Portland, and other leftist hellholes. This USMNT was a bunch of man-bun wearing betas, and weren't worthy of representing our country. I'm glad that I now won't have to invest the time to watch them go 3-and-out and embarrass us on the world stage.

President Trump is probably laughing his ass off (as I am) at them this morning. Perhaps he'll call for revoking their tax-exempt status???
