in the SBC than Justice Hansen . . . watch it evolve, be afraid!
He looked hurt last outing. In the Ga So game, his aim was way off.
First two games, I’m not sure Aplin was any more accurate.

Yeah I hope he gets well. If he does he really looked good until getting his back hurt.
He didn't look that great against us.

He had some big numbers but that was more from WRs being wide ass open. He was under 50% on completions.

And yes he looked stiff as hell. You could tell he was hurt.
Practiced very little for Georgia Southern, and Anderson said his back still bothered him and did effect his passing.

As their totally new OL comes together, his game should improve.
Anderson said he's probably going to have to learn to play with this back issue.
But did say he felt better Friday.

The key for him, and them is when the line starts clicking and their running game kicks in. Will take some of the pressure off the passing game.
SMH
Not as much a A-State fans who have to endure the start of each season.

Like I said if GaSo did not beat them it is very unlikely any SBC team will, and I say that for real and tangible reasons. We know Anderson's MO.

I have also said they benefited big-time in getting Troy at the end of the season, even though they are a lot more talented team than Troy.

While they may very well lose a game, and I have them doing so, it will probably be to one of the lesser teams, like ULL.
You mean the guy that has more interceptions than games he's played this season?

We're talking about the QB with the highest QB rating in the Sun Belt.

That guy.

At least he hasn't thrown as many interceptions as he has TDs. That's a sign of a sorry QB. Wouldn't you agree?

Not at all.

Assuming you mean Silvers, he makes all the throws and is being considered an NFL prospect. He picked apart LSU's secondary when he needed to and makes clutch passes.

I'm pretty sure if StAte had a RB that could run for 191 yards on LSU's D, plus had two other RB's almost as good as Chunn, Hansen probably wouldn't have a need to throw for a lot of TD's either. Besides, Silvers' overall resume since his freshman season speaks for itself.

I remember hearing the same thing about the vaunted Troy rushing attack last year, before our two teams played.

stAte rushed for 208 yards and controlled the football for 36+ minutes in the game, while Troy rushed for a minuscule total of 55 yards.

Hansen also had a higher QB rating than Silvers in that game, as well.

Chunn was hurt that game and couldn't get anything going. You guys were the better team, but there were some factors that played a huge part in how the game played out that you guys are ignoring. Those factors won't be in play this time around. Chunn has a capable backup this year, we're a much deeper team, and we don't play both conference champs in back to back weeks with a five day layover.

Just because they don't rum much does not mean A-State can not run.

Their RB Wand averages 6.0 ypc, which is pretty darn good.

ULL's Ragas tops the SBC with 7.19 ypc, followed by USA's Johnson (6.07 ypc, and Idaho's Duckworth (6,01 ypc). Only Ragas is far ahead of Wand.

As the season progresses I do look for them to run the ball more because they will have games where they will want to run the clock out.

That was also Troy's fifth game in a row after playing a tough rivalry game and an extremely physical game against App State. Chunn was beat to death and so we're a lot of other guys. On top of that it was a short week for Troy to get healed up for. StAte had a bye week not long before the game and had nothing but layups against ULM, Georgia State, and NMSU.

ASU was undoubtedly the better team that day, although I'd have to believe Troy would've beaten them on a healthy day.

Can't wait to see what Brown has in store for you guys. I'm sure Troy will be out for revenge.

Not saying Wand is a bad RB.

But Troy has ran the ball 174 times this season for 908 yards and averaging 5.2 yards per carry, compared to StAte running just 122 times for 427 yards and averaging 3.5 yards per carry.

We haven't had to rely on Silvers and the pass attack to score. So of course he's only going to have 2 TD's on the season. The Troy rush attack has 13 TD's on the season.

Blake Anderson has said he wants A-State to be a down hill running team and right now, but their new OL just has not gotten there yet. He is hinting they are very close.

Once the OL gels, and it will, then its a whole new ball game, and IMO they will be a very balanced offense, and I'm thinking it is going to happen sooner not later.

Their DC certainly hopes it's sooner, and wants to see some long slow drives by the offense.

Troy has a good team and y'all beating us is no stretch. But that must be a record for excuses in one post. Lol...Man that even puts App to shame.

Probably so. All reasonable excuses in my opinion though. 03-cloud9
