3-star (Rivals, 24/7, Scout) Trey'Von Hopkins is headed to Seattle U. A 2018 guard from Oklahoma City, he is a former Boise State commit. This is Hayford's fifth 3-star commit/signee since being hired. Had offers from BSU, Nebraska, DePaul, Missouri State, Louisiana Tech, and Tulsa.

24/7 ranks Hopkins as the #13 combo guard in the nation for 2018
Good pick up. Now that Seattle has a real coach, we'll see if they can shake up the WAC standings.
Wow!! Very impressive!!
Hayford is using that SU basketball budget to the max and I love it.

Another name to watch for Seattle U in recruiting will be Gabe McGlothan. No ratings, but saw him play locally here in AZ and kid's a baller. He recently returned from West Point and re-opened his recruitment. Hartford recruited him previously and it did come down to E.Wash & West Point.

While there is no indication that GCU has interest in him at this point, it is interesting to note that Gabe McGlothan's older brother is a Sr. on the GCU MSOC squad (Aidan McGlothan).
Dashawn McDowell is also from OKC and appears to already know Hopkins. Wonder if Hayford is starting a pipeline (ironically) from OKC to Seattle U.

VC is saying he also had an offer from FGCU while 247 is the only one reporting Louisiana Tech. 247 also reports supposed interest from UCLA.

Either way, huge pick up. 2018 is looking like when SU will take off.

On a side note, 3-star Seton Hall transfer Myles Carter will be a walk on this season as he sits out. Could be to help with scholarships for the multiple grad transfers, but also could be academic. Hope SU can keep him eligible and not lose him to grades like 3/4-star Ar'Mond Davis
