We have another one that is forecast to be hurricane strength and make landfall along the northern gulf coast this weekend.

Could we see another weekend of games upset by the weather???
Atlanta is on alert

Could be a Cat 2 at landfall
Here comes Nate

I haven't seen anything about it becoming a cat 2 yet. All I seen so far, it will be around 75 mph heading toward Mobile. Good thing we don't have a game Saturday.

Looks like it may disrupt some SBC games.
Will South try to play the Miami card and get out of the midweek tilt with Troy?
Will Miami play the Miami card and not travel to Tallahassee again???

Got Tulane playing in New Orleans on Saturday, that could be effected.
Looks like he might be trying to ramp up tonight. I'm ready for winter.

I wouldn't be shocked to see it as a Cat 2

They're saying it will hit at 75mph. Cat2 starts at 96mph. Unless it pulls a Harvey, it won't get there. The Gulf is slightly less warm than it was Aug 22.

I've been seeing it hitting at atleast 80mph and seen one at 85mph... it has gained strength faster than they projected too
It's a hurricane now, ahead of schedule. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a Cat2 either. The NHC has been warning that rapid intensification is possible and I think it's doing that.
That's scary. We only got cat1 winds here and that was enough for me.

Saying it may hit with 90mph winds now... it really could be a 2
The sun is up(more intensifying) and winds at 7am central were at 85. Places in Louisiana being evacuated, any word from Tulane about their game???
And just as I suspected they are saying it's going to be a catigory 2 with wins of 105 mph now and that 105 is well before it hits land
