I'm not sure how much the depth chart means anymore. Does anyone really believe that Diontae Johnson is still ahead of Jon'Vea Johnson? And against Miami, Cotterman was listed as the starter, and it seemed like Clark was on the field as much or more than Holman.
Woodley and lynch at LBs are seniors, that will be tall task of finding replacements next year. UT better get on their horse and start recruiting talented linebackers.

Very concerning.
neither of the frosh LBs are very big but both look good on tape. the 2018 class can honestly offer immediate PT to a really good frosh LB. I think the problem was overcompensating for the rise of the spread offense. for a few years we put a lot of emphasis into recruiting DB/Ath types fast enough to cover and tough enough to tackle but not true linebackers. Last year we had a really good ILB in the class but he flipped last minute to Purdue. The staff has tried everything. Woodley is solid but still isn't an every down and series player. Taafe is a first half liability as he gets shook badly and has trouble choosing what gap to fill and ends up taking himself out of a lot of plays. He does seem to make some plays later in the game when he's probably thinking less. Olenkanma looks the part and is good for a big play here and there but also misses tackles and disappears. Linch is a decent tackler but not very big or fast. I think Wilson has gotten a few snaps but still wait n see...

Hard to find, the real good one's go to bigger conferences. We do have a couple of them on the radar for next year according to coach Candle. UT may try moving a couple of DL's to linebacker.
