I was just looking at the box score. I see that Kent State attempted a whopping 5 passes, with 2 incompletions, 1 interception, and two completions for a total of 11 yards. So, they still haven't scored a TD in 3 games against FBS teams. Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.
QB Crum and a couple of the big running backs had their moments, but it's hard to sustain an offense with zero passing game. Bollas ineffective.
Fortunately I was busy all afternoon, but I just saw the ESPN highlights. We're like the football equivalent of the Washington Generals: random generic opponent designed to make the other team look good.
Please put the loyal KSU fan base out of its' misery and replace Haynes and the OC. This is not a game plan for success or even improvement... now a 12-38 record as head coach ( or .240 winning %) clearly not acceptable- why continue to the end of the year?? I beleive he is a good man but he cannot continue to run this program into the ground... recruiting will have to suffer???
If you have nothing good to say, don't say anything, as evidenced by the lack of interest & contribution to the thread for this game.

The talent of the team cannot be this bad. It is squarely on the coaching staff, and indirectly on the AD.

Embarrassing, just embarrassing.
I do not know what I am looking at any more. But, I keep thinking, as I watch, this team is not completely absent of talent. This is a very painful situation.
I'm just tired of the punter being the team mvp year after year.
At least other years when we were bad we had something to look at on offense (Cribbs, Edelman). This is just not something I even want to watch anymore.

I can't watch them. At all. I will cheer for them to win, but will not watch.
I know that no one will be surprised by these stats but here is where Kent sits offensively as of today against FBS opponents

129 passing yards
10 completions on 27 attempts
43 yards per game

400 rushing yards
142 carries
133.3 yards per game

176.3 total yards per game

Kentkrazy, and Patrick Young
High school quarterback in one game has topped all 4 games combined when it comes to completions, attempts and yards... 70/88 824 yards

In all fairness, when two of those games were against Clemson and Louisville, I think there needs to be an asterisk. Not to mention our gameplan against Clem was to basically cower into a fetal position and hope for the best.

If things go bad on Saturday, I say tee off. Everyone should be fair game.
Looking at the totals for the year - we average 232 yards offense per game, that's 128th out of 130 teams in Division I. We'd have to average 100 more yards per game if we wanted to nose Acorn out of the 109th position on the lost

We might say this is caused by playing Clemson and Louisville, but it's our normal spot in the standings.

At least the defense is ranked 122nd out of 130
For some perspective-2017 Total Defense: Clemson 227 ypg/ Louisville 377 ypg/ Marshall 391 ypg.... Even the concept that Clemson and Louisville are tough opponents and the cause that the KSU offense ave is 176 ypg - doesn't let me give the HC and OC "a pass" as other teams seem to be having success moving the ball vs Clem/Lou/Marshall....defense is spending alot of time on the field.....
At this point there's only two reasons I might watch games. First to see if Monday can play his way into the draft. Currently leading the country in INTs and fresh off picking off the reigning Heisman twice. Certainly the right way to start his senior season. Second, see if any young guys can give us hope for the future. While the offense has been horrendous, I am curious to see if they change things up now that we'll be playing MAC level schools.
