I'm obviously not in Florida which is why I asked. I noticed that they cancelled a lot of the games and was curious if they had sent the students home. Or what the general logic was in not just playing away games.

You must be on a 1 week time delay. UCF plays at Maryland this weekend.
And they were never scheduled to play Maine.

Maine? I thought UCF was playing Maryland this weekend. But if your asking why they could not play the games that where postpone on the road. I think that its not that simple when it comes to scheduling because its not just UCF that has to work around things, its there opponent as well. Plus I think with Tech there is no guarantee that they would honor the deal of switching home dates and then UCF is left without a P5 home date. I don't know how it works for sure just my guess.

Maryland is this week. We were scheduled to play Maine which was replaced by Memphis (which was cancelled). We still need home games.

Oh. That damn Georgia State poster got me thinking they were playing Maine. Haha. Now I see OP meant past weeks. He phrased it like it was currently happening.

Yup. The Maine statement was my bad. Your OP made it seem like you were talking about upcoming games, not ones in the past. I got it now.

The real answer is that rather than change games to be away, athletes were released to be with their families.
