This is about what they are attempting to do. Are they trying to escalate or deescalate the situation?
I know this from my years of teaching that when you are presented with someone who is confrontational and potentially violent, you don't do anything that might escalate the situation.

Have you not been paying attention? Politics regardless of party is becoming increasingly despised by the average American.
Their response? The defeat of over 1,000 Democrats at the federal and state levels over the past 8 years.

In Tennessee deadly force is legal to use when a person has a reasonable expectation of bodily harm or death.
