Anyone else puzzled that we seem to be offering a ton of players for next season, but it's early fall and nothing is happening?

BTW, top UT target 3 star center 6-9 Austin Rotroff from Wauseon just committed to Duquesne.
Lost him to the A-10. Not surprised.

Dambrodt was no doubt recruiting him for Akron.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Dambrodt "suggested" that the clock is ticking for TK and his seat is getting warm...

Doesn't TK have a contract through 20-21?

...and Rotroff's first season would be 2018-19...if he were to redshirt, his first season of playing would be 2019-20...so that time could go pretty quickly--and then "maybe" there's a new coach.

I think any coach whom we're recruiting against will soon start (if they haven't already) "reminding" recruits that TK hasn't taken a team to the NCAA tournament and does have an "expiration date".

Not saying I like it...but it wouldn't surprise me. But a better-than-expected season this time could fix that.

Let's hope not.
According to verbalcommits, the entire MAC has only five verbals for 2018, so it's not time to panic yet.

Bummer but for me and I am sure I will get ripped this post for this but Coach K can coach here as long as he wants as far as I am concerned.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR YOU MAY GET IT!!!!

There are great assistants out there looking for head coaching jobs. Wichita State, for example, has this guy named Jans...

LMAO04-cheers
Besides when Coach Nichols roamed the sidelines, has anyone ever said the MAC is a great basketball conference?
Enjoy the wins when we get them. It's an effort to make "the dance" and usually MAC teams are ONE AND DONE. There is a lot of talent in the MAC and the games are always entertaining.
After today..... there will be 13 Louisville players looking to transfer after Rick Pitino gets fired.
We'll take them. Especially if they are at least 6'10".

He's fired.

I suspect a fair number of recruits may be rethinking their status.
Probably spills into their FB program as well...They were an average to above average FB program 10-15 years ago...now they are a consistent top 25 contender...

It's still Louisville. As long as they get to play, even if not the play-offs, they'll get stars, probably even some share of the one and dones. "Fair number" might not be a devastating number.

Not referring to Louisville alone. I suspect a number of schools may have a shadow cast and recruits not eager to attend a school that may not see the NCAAs during their time may re-assess their options. I doubt all the shoes have dropped.

I hadn't even considered all that. Well, as long as none of them drop here.
