Not a whole lot of TV games

It more evidence of our decline under Tubby. Thankfully, the Internet allows access to the games.

19/30 if you include UAB which is TBD

rest are at least ESPN3 accessible
This is the worst out of conference schedule I remember us having. I am glad I dropped my basketball donations last year. Why pay so much money for such bad games when you can get better seats on the street for pennies on the dollar. Plus I only have to come to the games I want to. This is a low point. I have pretty much lost interest in Basketball. Maybe it will change some day. When football got better, the prices went up. I think with basketball getting worse, the prices should drop.
OOC Home schedule stinks. But it's likely to be the highest OOC SOS in a few years.
4-5 OOC's televised.
Almost all AAC's televised.
Pretty similar to how I recall the past few years.
We do get Wichita at home.
Meh who cares. It's football season!!
Half a dozen games against pretty good teams out of 31 total -- and that's only if SMU and Cincinnati don't tank. The really bad news is I'd only pick us as possibly winning one of those games. Sure hope this team surprises like some of them seem to think they will.
I see 21 wins, 9 or 10 in conference, one win in AAC tourney, somehow get an NIT bid and lose in first round on the road. Trying to stay positive, Tubby could build on something like that if he gets a few decent dudes for next year.
Anything less than a 7-3 start would be unforgivable.
I need to see the exhibition game and the first game of the season against Alabama before I can take a stab at making a prediction of what our record will be. Win or lose I can better judge knowing more about the players. At least Alabama can't scout or prepare for us.

I think the first exhibition game, the first game and the first 10-15 games are going to be a poor indicator; almost irrelevant. It will be almost impossible for us to look good with only 2 players coming back until the last 10 or so games of the season.

I am 99% sure of is that we won't look anything like the same team our first 5 games of the season as our last 5 games of the season, and that we are going to show as much improvement over the course of the season as any Tiger team in recent memory; maybe as far back as the Johnny Jones team.

Not the worst I can remember - it seems at least one year a few years back our only decent game was against a down UT team. Problem for me is the home schedule. If Louisville and / or Alabama were home games that would give us another good home game, and if UAB were a home game or we got SMU in for a home game, that would be another decent home game. As it is, there's just not that much to draw the average fan down.

Has more to do with the decline of cable TV. The 1980s are ancient history.
FWIW, here is a CA article about the schedule.

The author cautions the reader to "watch out for Northern Kentucky, Samford, Mercer, Albany and Loyola (Md.)". It is yet another sign of a rough season.

I respectfully disagree. We are no longer involved with the feature games of our conference (which tend to get better networks) because Tubby has failed to restore us to relevance. Our profile more closely resembles ECU than Wichita ST.

I think the first ten games will give a good gauge of the season's likely overall result because there are some things very difficult to improve upon during the season (e.g., ball handling and three point shooting capacity).
Hit their stride the last 8 games against weak opponents? If the record is poor at that point very few will care.
