Got a call from a buddy who spoke with Coach Cal and shook hands.

Who would they be after? Lomax?

They are '19 guys, but Kentucky recruiting James Wiseman and DJ Jeffries.

Hope he lets Tubby know who he's after so Tubby doesn't waste time.

I wonder what will happen first. Tubby lands a 2018 Memphian or Cal lands a 2019 Memphian. Tubby is probably looking like a good bet.

In 2002, Cal was kind of on the hot seat (seems SO long ago, doesn't it?). He had done pretty much nothing at that point. After WW and the Laurinberg kids came, everything changed.

In other words, he was probably in a pretty foul mood and he has a history of cussing out people (John Chaney, Refs, Weinberger, the 'Mexican Idiot' affair in 1997 when he was with the Nets). Not surprising at all.

Cal goes to Kentucky, wins a National Championship and now he's some sort of 'elder statesman', lol.

Yep. You have to be really dumb to get caught. Like Ole Miss now.

Especially in hoops. Most of the guys Cal recruits are one-and-dones. Players don't even have to talk to the NCAA one the season ends.
