SMU is the best team in Texas! Do it against TCU

I think this will be a great game. Chad Morris has this offense clicking on all cylinders. The Mustangs have a legitimate chance to start the season 3-0. After watching the past two games, I am on the SMU bandwagon.

If SMU wins this game it would be great !, AAC needs this win for sure, however if SMU loses this game then I think the " death penalty " should be applied...

I expect a good game, SMU will be by far the best offense TCU has seen early in this season. On the flip side, TCU will be by far the best defense SMU has seen thus far early in this season.

Courtland Sutton went 5 for 113 vs TCU last year and 4 for 115 and a TD against TCU in 2015. TCU definitely needs to limit what he does. SMU will need to limit TCUs running game (which they have done against other opponents this year), making Kenny Hill beat you is the way to beat TCU because he just isn't consistent enough to run an offense that is very reliant on the pass.

I predict a close one, I'll go TCU 31 and SMU 27

How is SMU's defense this year? Last season, it started showing signs of life.

The D line is much better. a lot more depth this season. Secondary is still a question although Jordan Wyatt is a really good NFL prospect and he had a great game against SFA.

Nice write-up. I think we have a puncher's chance in this one but the Horny Toads have the better team. The key will be to get to the Aggie transfer at QB when we are on defense and find other options outside of Courtland on offense - I am hoping our other WR Quinn has a big game. My heart goes with the ponies but if I had to put money on it...

This is a statement game for Morris. If he is confident and if he thinks there's a chance at the Aggies job, you'll see a wide open playbook and two QBs rotating. Our secondary is beat up so that will be a challenge and our D line needs to help forcing hill to operate under pressure. O line needs to step up and open lanes so we can run consistently. If the running game shows some life, watch for Gillins to get some time as well as Hicks. If that happens...A big if...then get ready for the WR show. With all of that, it's close, and we can pull it off. Need a lot of intangibles to go our way, but look what happened in '15 when we were within a TD inside of the last 5 minutes of the game.

SMU can win. Will be a shoot out...but we can win.
