I honestly think he has a chance to be on top of the list. And someone at ESPN seems to agree

He may end up with 100+ tackles at freakin' nose tackle. He's a monster.

Defensive players don't win the Heisman, let alone sophomore G5 defensive players.

With all of the QB candidates he has zero chance
He won't be the best linebacker in the AAC. He's damn good. There is one better

He'd be the best qb at ecu
Oliver is good, he won't win a Heisman.

The Heisman annually comes from one of the following on a rotating basis: Ohio St., Ala, Florida, USC, Oregon, Texas, OU, Clemson, Fl St,

Basically the top two teams from B1G, SEC, Pac, Big12, and ACC

The Heisman comes from one of these teams. The list is made up from these teams. They are good, but there are PLENTY of other players that could/should be at least considered that aren't.

The Heisman is the most worthless award in sports. It's rigged.

They should have two awards:
1. Best player in college award (give it a new name and give it to literally, the best player in college)
2. MVP of the Cream of the Crop Award (currently the Heisman)
He won't win it. Position and school are working against him. But I'll be shocked if he's not a top 5 pick in the NFL.
I think he has a good chance of finishing in the top 3 and being invited for the ceremony in NY

That alone would be enough for me and a win for the coogs.
Being invited would be cool. He's billed as the #1 player in college football by quite a few different outlets, so it's hard to ignore that.

He should be the favorite for the Lombardi award.
Very cool article on Houston and Ed Oliver!! First page at ESPN.com

Man, how freaking awesome would it be if Oliver were to be drafted by the Texans.

Shiet with the way they are playing they will have a shot at him lol. But they really need o-linemen.
Courtland has a better chance at the Heisman than Oliver.
