There's all sorts of people at the games so far. Some are alumni loyal to the school. Some are football fans. Some are people just trying out the tailgating atmosphere and chatting with friends. We need and want all those people at the games.

I too wish all attendees were intensely interested in the game. We knew going in that some would leave to catch the start of UT-Fla (get a DVR, people!). We as fans just gotta keep promoting the program in social media, talking it up to friends, and hopefully some wins make people pay heed to the actual football.
I want to thank all the people on the West side of the stadium for standing, cheering, making noise and being the 12th man. I admonished the people in E and the silver sections for lack of enthusiasm at the opening game but you guys and gals showed the football team how to be real fans.

Let's keep the enthusiasm going for every game. The team loved it.
As the product continues to improve on the field, the fans will get more into it.

I was in the silver/west section and agree. The elderly gent who came with me was unprepared for the heat and had to leave after the 1st quarter, but everyone around me was really into it.
Eastside student sections were full and very vocal early on, but appeared mostly gone in the second half when they could have helped cheer the team on.
Well the West Silver side was improved because I was there. Stadium is nice though, years of work coming to fruition.
Sometimes I need to go to my car for health or comfort reasons. The stadium rules are that I can't be readmitted under any circumstances.

Thanks but still doesn't fix the fact that sometimes fans would love to return to the game but can't.

04-cheers

Sorry, does this mean fans can be readmitted if they leave?

Before I had the experience of caring for aging and ailing parents, and before I had the experience of seeing friends lose battles with debilitating diseases, I'm sure I often failed to notice the needs of the elderly and infirm. But, I sincerely hope, that whenever it was called to my attention, I did not remain indifferent or uncaring.
This rule is nothing new. Same at other stadiums including high school.

When I explained my medical condition and showed my ticket stub to the security folk, they let me go and return.

Great. I didn't have the same experience so I had to leave the game.

My point is that there are barriers that prevent some fans who desire to watch the entire game from doing so. I don't follow any other college football teams. When I leave the stadium it isn't to go watch another team on TV, lets not presume that everyone does that.
Color me clueless about most ADA rules, but does not allowing re-admittance to someone with a health condition violate those possibly? I can understand not letting Joe Schmo or Suzy college student to go out to the parking lot to get a few more shots of whiskey in, but those with legit needs should have an option available. And I'm not just talking about ETSU, I'm talking about all with the policy. I would think they should have some sort of waver option a person could apply for to get a special pass that allowed leaving and re-entry for medical reasons. Just a thought.
