Unbelievably because of how hard it is to do OOC scheduling, we draw 'bye' for this week.

Gives the team the chance to celebrate yesterday's win, rest up, and prepare for Ohio.

And, yes, the team can watch Ohio play for themselves and 'scout' them in 'real time'.

For us, we get to check stats, etc. etc.

My guess, until we look at the stats, but I'd guess EMU may be a leader in FBS scoring defense. Twenty points in two games against two FBS opponents. Lot of FBS teams, like EMU teams of old, give up 21 points in a HALF.

And for our newbie fans, they might find it hard to believe that we used to have one of the worst defenses in FBS. Running backs would gash the line and the opposing team announcers would say: "See you later" or 'going to the house.' MAC fans would say: "Take the over in Vegas when EMU plays."

I'm dreaming of another bowl game already, although the 2017 schedule is not easy. MAC West was 5 - 1 yesterday with wins of Rutgers, Kansas, Nevada, UAB, etc.
Answers to questions raised in the first post:

1). EMU ranks #10 in points allowed (10 / game). Guess our defense has room for improvement. Lol.

2). EMU staff, players, fans, etc can watch Ohio host Kansas on ESPN3 Saturday.

BTW, here are the Sagarins. Incredible how much stronger the MAC West is compared to the East.

So where do we rank in third down conversion percentage or penalty yards per game?

Yes our defense has been impressive as expected to some degree. Our offense hasn't been that impressive and in areas I didn't expect like WRs dropping balls or lack of consistent running attack. Not many sacks allowed by offensive line through.

True, but no one expected us to be an offensive Juggernaut this year.

We'll win games because of Roback and to look ahead to next year, oh my!!!!

I'm enjoying this year because next year could be very tough on offense. We don't have a top tier MAC QB for next year.
