Both FCS.

Discuss.
Whoever loses the UConn vs. ECU game
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against Boston College because your head coach is a moron who inherited an extremely talented team but has done little to replenish said talent through recruiting over the years...

UCONN needs 5 more wins to go bowling. ECU needs 6. That pretty much tells you the answer. 07-coffee3
Which is better - being dominated by an FCS team
or beating one?

Really? The fact that you post this should be the answer. You guys got your dicks knocked in the dirt at home by an FCS team. Just stop.

You're assuming we claim East Carolina. Actually its something we'd rather get rid of. Like an a** fungus that has no cure. So please, no "you guys."
At that time (9/1/07), then FCS Appalachian State beat #5 Michigan in the Big House. UCONN was FCS before switching over the the Big East and won the conference and went to a BCS game.

The moral of the story, some FCS schools are better then others. If some day, JMU becomes an FCS power capable of taking down other FBS schools, then you have a point. Until that happens, I'm not sure what your point is.

Is JMU not an FCS power now?

JMU would win the MWC, CUSA, MAC, and Sun Belt this year.

I don't know. Does an FCS power beat an 8-5 New Hampshire team by 3 points, while giving up 512 yards passing, and are still called an FCS power? One of the top FCS teams, sure, but dominant power, questionable.
This Temple guy is a dolt about College Football.

WTH are you talking about?

FCS teams are college football? Who knew? They are still FCS. JMU got crushed by NCST 56-28 last year. In 2013 they were 6-6, gradually improving to a great year last year, one of which they still got spanked by a real FBS team. One great year doesn't mean they should be beating FBS teams like they did against ECU.

If you win the FCS National Title you are a power until you start to lose games or get dethroned. For now JMU is one of the few you can't look past in the FCS.

Beating an FCS team of any caliber is still better than losing to one by 20.... CMU and UConn are lucky to be 1-0. Baylor, ECU, and UNLV? Not so much. That doesn't mean ECU isn't still better than UConn though. I suspect JMU would knock the wheels off Holy Cross.

We need to worry about 'Nova. They're not at JMU's level but are dangerous. Definitely a step up over our recent FCS teams. They're probably better than the Fordham team that beat us in 2013. I know we stunk that year but odds are we're not world beaters this season either.

JMU is really good and among the elite of FCS. Likewise with NDSU. Hell, runner-up Youngstown State lost to Pitt in OT. The top 5 or 6 teams in FCS are better than 40-50% of FBS.

OK, I'll buy that, but I'm sure you would expect Toledo to easily handle JMU, just the same, wouldn't you?

Once again you show your stupidity. We never played NC State last year moron.

I wouldn't! The closest team they've faced to JMU's level is EWU in 2013 and Toledo won 34-31. The EWU teams was dirty on offense. They've beaten a good UNH team and a couple other FCS teams but nothing like this JMU team or NDSU.

I couldn't care who you lost to, but I did look again and now realize it was middle of the road North Carolina (8 and 5 I believe) who smashed you. Point is, any FBS team losing to FCS is not having a good year.
