Some cool comparisons here.

Nevada is historically very good at home though. This would be a nice win regardless of their final record.

I expect a close one on Saturday. I think Toledo has to score 40 to win

Vegas doesn't think so much. Rockets are a 10 pt. favorite right now.
UT by 4, they will be tough at home but we will score 40. Woodside and company cannot be stopped by the Wolfpack... and I will be there to see it...

I don't think that the Elon game gave a whole lot of insight on where this year's edition of Rockets stand. I was impressed that Woodside and Thompson and Johnson looked sharp, I was also impressed by how much the offense seemed to miss Roberts in the red zone. I was impressed by the fourth quarter running game with the 3rd string back but I was not overly impressed by the OL play other than the fact they were pretty much penalty free. The defense is still a complete unknown to me but I think we will get a better idea of where they stand after the Nevada game when they have to protect against the pass as well as the run. Frankly just coming home from Nevada with a win will be enough for me.
I wonder if they're saving those red zone tosses to the TE for later games. Surely with the opportunities presented last week there were times to try them but maybe no point in a blowout win.

Hopefully you are correct. It does seem that they tend to "save" their tight ends----They seemed to save Roberts until his senior year because certainly saw limited action as a receiver until his last year. 03-wink
Let's hope our D shows something extra this week. From what I saw last week, we are going to struggle against the run unless some changes are made. Elon had no real passing threat to deter us much, and they were still able to run on us quite effectively at times. Nevada averaged 5.5 yds per carry last week against NW and I'm sure their O-line and backs will be a cut above what we saw against Elon. The D definitely needs some timely takeaways and our O needs to get better at time of possession to keep our D off the field (see WMU playbook). If we don't shore things up, I honestly don't like our odds in a shootout. We really need the D to step up if we expect to win on the road consistently.

And, unless I wasn't paying close enough attention, I believe we lost the turnover battle to Elon 2-1. Don't imagine our job gets any easier if we lose the T/O battle against Nevada...
I'm thinking we kick a late FG and Nevada runs out of time trying to win it...
