Antifa has attacked innocent people on numerous occasions. But although this group isn't centralized they fly the same banner and wear similar clothing. In some instance they are in complete uniform (black bloc) and have attacked elderly people or those simply trying to stop the violence. The Mayor of Berkeley recently stated that Antifa should be classified as a criminal gang and finally the mainstream media and politicians have begun to call out the violence.

Criminal gang? No, try domestic terrorist organization. Quit trying to handle them with kid gloves, properly disavow, stop instructing your police to stand down, and protect the free speech of EVERYONE, not just the speech you agree with.
Internal polls are starting to tell them that people are translating the word "antifa" into "Democrat" and uts threatening their midterms.

Come on now. There was violence on both sides. 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

I agree..but..it is a start. Finally the Left is waking up to the fact that this group is toxic to the Democrat party.

And get Fransicko Nan on board to quit equivocating and making excuses for the terrorists.

Great point. That's exactly what's happening.

Antifa -- whether or not they have any official connection with the DNC -- are viewed by the average American as a left-leaning Democrat support group.

Apparently Dems are starting to realize this.

My guess is a lot of their funding comes from the same sources, hence the reluctance to call them out for what, and who, they are.
My initial thought yesterday when I started to see several Dems calling them out and condemning them is that this is too coordinated. There HAS to be polling showing that it will hurt democrats in the midterms.

That idiot Berkeley mayor condemns them but still had the police stand down. He doesn't believe his own words.

Its tradition among politicians.

I was listening to a podcast that said the mayor of Berkeley doesn't have control over the police. Per the Berkeley Municipal code that's true. The chief has power of sheriff.

I wonder if Estrogen Tim Kaine's son considers himself a democrat?

Nationwide, that is true. The Berkeley episode in particular, not so much. But from sea to shining sea, very much so, yes.
Now that more and more prominent dems have disavowed (nothing from the cult leaders Bernie and Pocahontas though, and I'm not holding my breath), will they also thank President Trump for his leadership and ability to see 3 weeks ago (violence and bad people on both sides) what they are finally admitting for themselves? Will they apologize?

What about the late night shows? Will they retract their faux outrage?

It's kind of hard not to make that assumption, when a lot of the Antifa ones who are caught on microphones make all sorts of references to Bernie Sanders.
From now on I propose we refer to Anti-Fa as the Black KKK.
I am glad MSM and the Dems are finally seeing the light...but Antifa has been beating people for well over a year and they constantly beat up Trump supporters throughout the election. MSM and the Dems had nothing to say then.
