I could see Florida giving out evacuation orders. Florida's geography is so different from Texas in that a hurricane striking from the south really doesn't give folks much of a place to get out of the path. Let's hope for that slim hope of a turn to the right....
Hattiesburg
Katrina roasted our arse....no power for most for two weeks and no water for at least a week for most.....
having said that, it's nothing compared to what happened on the MS coastline.....
I drove down a week after......then a month after.....then 4 mos. later......the devastation and recovery effort was difficult to witness....
regardless, the 'burg will recover if it happens again......however, I can't imagine another direct strike on our coastline....the insurers will disappear.....there are still >100 lots for sale that nobody will purchase due to that to this day.....
NFL considering moving week 1 Miami-Tampa Bay game. I doubt they move it to another city. I could see them moving it to Thursday night. Friday seems too late.

If I get a time out because of this beaches report, then I'll wear it proudly.
needless to say, I know all about misunderstandings that leads to the 'time-out'
kudos and to standing up, saying what needs to said, and framing it 'appropriately'....
I'm pretty sure Squid was kidding.
will at least agree that would be unlike him.....that's where sarcasm can get salty and create misunderstandings w/o an indicator.....
I've learned that lesson the hard way.....just like 4 a.m. at the craps' table
you have the craps?
Sorry, I'm just trying to devolve the conversation in the way that the idiot did.

Hey put the Bottle down. You called him out first and I made a comment about he was just kidding. What's up with the Neg points. I will tell you one thing, being pretty sure about something ain't bad.

A year later the devastation was very visible.
The ones that come south of Cuba tend to be the ones that come to Texas, but you never know what they will do.

Putin hacked the weather to cause more natural disasters, which unite people and push Presidential approval ratings up.
Yea, the insanity, or perhaps inanity of someone even making this kind of "connection" here really has to make one question...
Then I'm thinking a bounce from that LP system kicks it back east over N Fl., again and out it goes. But could be pretty horrific for the entire state of Fl.
I thought alGore was gonna fix all this schit back in '92 or so. Did I get that wrong? What with the 8th sea and all?
