Not the USA part. I love my freedoms and my country. But just thinking about Rice's performance and the conference as a whole. I am offended.

As my first act of being a snowflake, where do I go for a safe place for the football season?

Should I tweet angrily at the air...does that make it feel better?

Thanks in advance...

Do whatever you did during the 2012 through 2014 Southern Miss. football seasons. If you can make it through that then you can survive anything.

03-lmfao And that was coming off their decent season in 2011 (even though UH and USM were both vastly overrated that year)

WTF? If CUSA offends you, then USM football since 2011 except for one year has had to absolutely destroyed you. What the hell have USM fans got to act arrogant about these days?

Yeah, beating the #7 team in the country (no matter how "overrated" you think it was) on the way to a 12-2 record (including a usual win over La Tech) must somehow mean USM was "overrated" too!03-lmfao

Ya know, every football program in the world eventually has some down years, and unfortunately for us, but fortunately for C-USA, it just happens to be USM's turn right now. We will be back soon enough...(and why are you laughing, since you can't beat our azzzzes NOW?04-cheers)

I think that was the year we had a 35-7 or lead over the Coogs at home and fumbled it away and lost it in the 4th quarter at home and the USM kicker hit a 50 yard FG in pouring rain to beat us again in final seconds 03-banghead
#7 Houston 03-lmfao No way that Houston team was anywhere close to the 7th best team in the country. Not even top 25 neither was Southern Miss, sorry Eaglebeaver. Yes a good team by CUSA 2.0 standards but Tech played both and I can tell with certainty Boise State was on different Level than UH and USM
I noticed a few S. Miss posters banned, when I say few, I mean 8 or 9, so I went to their board to see what was going on. A lot of S.Miss fans feel like the current schools in CUSA are the blame for all of their problem. They actually remind me of Western fans when it comes to basketball...for year and years the SBC was the only thing keeping Western down. With one really huge difference...Western had owned the SBC since 2000 season up to the time we got left behind...with 7 NCAA bids, 10 out of 13 seasons with 20 or more wins. But other than actually owning the schools the fans complained about. Western and S. Miss fans sounded the same.

Got to reading a few threads and all of us should be thankful we get to breathe the same air they do, Not all but there is a lot of S. Miss fans that believe we are a huge part for all of S. Miss's problems. Their attendance would be over 30k a game if they could play Tulane, or ECU or any of those other AAC schools. But no one wants to pay to see S. Miss vs UNCC or S. Miss vs ODU or S. Miss vs Middle.....

So I got to checking as I usually do when something just seems off. Below is the amount S. Miss made off tickets sold going back to 2005 and average attendance. After charting all those seasons I found...winning and TV played a major role in their attendance. Not really who S. Miss played. Up till 2015 when S. Miss played Miss St (36,641) Alcorn State (2009...no TV) with attendance of 36,232 held the all-time S. Miss record. The only attendance records I could find went to 2000 and from that time S. Miss played UofL three times at home and averaged 27,745. Now if you listen to some S. Miss fans they will tell you about UofL being some type of rival. Last year the Charlotte game drew 28,347 and 2015 ODU drew 29,568.

So I guess message board warriors and real life don't always go together. But if we were being 100% honest most of these warriors ...sit at home on game day in front of a TV. Especially if they have to travel over 30 minutes. It's the real fans that go to see S. Miss (all of our teams) play and not who they play. Those fans are probably as disappointed as any of us would be if our team got left behind as often as S. Miss. But they still show up

Anyways numbers don't match words that some of these message board warriors want us to believe. But I really doubt if you will find Eagle in the gym money or ass counted in the numbers.

You don't think the Rice team may be a little distracted right now playing a football game in Australia while their home city is underwater?

Ok, first of all, you have a LOT of time on your hands.

Secondly, the "8-9" posters from the Southern Miss board is an exaggerated number. Many of those "8-9" were the same looney toons with different accounts who, like yourself, had way too much time on their hands.

If you want to take the sample size of Southern Miss fans that ruffle your feathers on message boards and assume they speak for a fan base, go right ahead.

P.S. - I believe Eagle in the gym wrote his post in a facetious manner because he recognizes the audience would bite.
You noobies have no idea. Stats and figures. Ha. Stats tell the story for losers.

What you don't figure in your 'stats' is that we have fans that have been passionate fans for longer than your teams have been established. That's right, figure that stat out. And yes we are embarrassed to be in a conference where the host of the championship game can't get 10,000 butts in the seats.
We've been down and we are hurting but we'll be back.
BTW Tech dogs, beat us then diss us. Beat ranked teams then diss us. Otherwise I laugh at your BS.
Three words "Deal With it". I know the storied history of USM and respect it but look around you and realize this is the new reality. If you deserve better and can work towards it you would've already left this conference. There is a reason why you are still here among us so called Noobs. Until you graduate you are same as UTSA, Charlotte or ODU so grab a seat and sit down until your number is called and quit whining while you are here. We already have enough around here.

You're emphasizing #s from our 0-12 season, so natural for attendance to taper off. The Louisville game would have been better if not played in a monsoon. The Boise game had a 11am kickoff, which I expect hurt. Those are just excuses though.

You spend a lot of energy digging up information to dispute anything a Southern Miss poster says. Personally, I enjoy being in a league with WKU, I think you guys are solid. My only negative comment, ever, has been WKUs low fan support for home football games. But, anytime a Southern Miss poster states this, you tell the Southern Miss poster all we have to brag about is attendance and we suck in all other areas.

I know your therapist has told you to create a thread on 10 reasons why you like Southern Miss. I just don't know why you haven't followed your therapists advice.
