Some initial observations:

It's not a surprise, but having a 6'2 left tackle scares me. Tackles need long arms. We have some bigger back-ups, but they aren't athletic enough. As a whole we will know more about our O-line after we see them play in real games, and I think as a group they are they best indicator of how good we are going to be this year. If they are dominating against Alabama A&M, then we have a very good chance to have a special year. If our QB's don't have a comfortable pocket and our RB's dont have running lanes against A&M... Well, lets not think about that.

We have a good two deep on defense, at virtually every position. We wont know how good until we see them against real competition, but it looks good.

I hope our punters look better this fall than they did during the spring when both punters had trouble generating consistent hang time on their punts, leading to a lot of short, low kicks that were hard to cover.
any word on Heath or Brown at RB?
Man Heath fell off completely.
Heath is running behind Brown and walk-on Stephens. Think he is currently 6th. I still bet Brown plays some this year.
Greg Bryant's loss is going to be felt this year.
does any other team in America have as many "* indicates RedShirt" notations on their roster?

No chance. Every player on the roster except for the ones signed in 2017 are technically redshirts, even if that rs doesnt really count against their eligibility clock
Greg Bryant was potentially the best back in the country. You cant replace that. That said I have watched the offense up close and I think our backs will surprise. Thunder and Lightning. I really love the potential of our receivers. Hard to tell a stated above until we play someone else.
James Noble pretty much came in here and embarrassed all those running backs. That's why a couple transferred. Heath seemed a bit jealous, back when Brown was getting noticed in the weight room at the start of camp. Again, we have a former walk on and a LB as our 1&2 RBs.
If your good your good. It doesn't matter if you are a walk on or a former defensive player. UAB has a history of making guys chaining positions and it being a success. Thunder and Lighting will be at Legion Field rain or shine.
If I remember correctly, didn't some random poster show up last year telling us how the best RB at UAB was one of the guys no longer on the two deep. Funny how those type of posters are never right. 05-stirthepot
