Bryce Maginley is a Computer Science major from Charlotte. We'll all remember his scoop of a blocked punt in the early segments of the eventual rout of Soft Houston State that he took to the house. He played in all 15 games last year mostly on special teams. He has nice size at 6'2" 230#. I look forward to seeing his progression in the deep, talented linebacker group. Good luck to Bryce this season!

Ezrah Archie is a February signee from Sicklerville, NJ, via Timber Creek Regional HS. I had to look up Sicklerville on the map. It is between Philly and Atlantic City. But then again, isn't most all of New Jersey? (j/k) Ezrah was All-State his Sr. year. Good luck to him and welcome to the JMU Family.

FWIW, Freshman students move in today and tomorrow. I wonder if any of you recall your move-in day as a frosh. 5 years ago, my much better half and I moved our daughter into Eagle Dorm. I recall how much smoother it went than 6 years earlier when we moved our son into his first dorm at UT-Knoxville. When we pulled up near Eagle, about 7 student volunteers quickly assembled outside our van and literally took everything up to her room. I mean everything. My wife and I didn't even carry anything. I was impressed. Sure wasn't that way when I moved into my first dorm 34 years ago or 11 years ago in Knoxville. Still, thanks to those great Dukes students. Will never forget that (obviously). Sure helped particularly on what was a steaming hot day...like today will be.
I remember move-in day for me back in 05' also in to Eagle, but I was in the MRDs and there was maybe ONE person to let us in to the dorm and show me where to go....we hauled a lot but luckily since it was early the elevators were free! It was a hot one!
Dukes helping Dukes. JMU Orientation is a model for the rest of the country. Seriously.
Moved my daughter in today. I literally had to move nothing, and the truck was empty in 5 min. At the legacy luncheon now, nice event. Proud of JMU and the chance to experience this with another legacy student of mine!

So cool for your family. Awesome legacy.
Per Madia, Mcginley is a "lock" to start at outside LB this year replacing graduated Justin Wellons

Given the FBS transfers at LB I questioned this part of the article when I read it. Perhaps Madia's correct given the injured and suspended LBs, but when they are back full-time I don't see a FR (or rFR) making the starting lineup at LB.

You might be right. Good thing for Maginley that he's a So.
