Nashville, my abode, will experience a total eclipse Monday starting at 1:28pm. Long lost relatives are coming in town to witness the celestial event. It will be a crazy scene.
Live between Nashville and Bowling Green and will have close to 2:30 mins of totality, our area is expended to have a influx of 500,000 people between Bowling Green KY and Hopkinsville KY.
Drove the kids up to Augusta GA, gonna drive the remainder 30 miles into SC tomorrow morning. Interestingly enough, didnt expect to drive through Statesboro, so gave myself a little tour of Georgia Southern.
It will be interesting for sure. My brother works at Lowes and they have had tons of people calling them about those darn glasses. Heck today at work we had people calling us asking for Welding goggles as I guess a backup plan.

Went to Harbor Freight and picked up a cheap set of Welding googles that go to level 13. I will look so bad ass tomorrow.
We're only about 150 miles from the 100% band, and I planned on hopping on the bike for a daytrip. Unfortunately a strong chance of clouds in the region, plus a likely second totality of nincompoops out piloting the family truckster SUV around while staring at either the sky or their phone, helped talk me out of the idea.
Guess I'll just live with 90% and possible clouds. Meh...
I'll catch the 70 or so percent one tomorrow here in Dallas and then the 2024 one coming right to me really made it easy to skip. You guys in Tennessee enjoy this one.
