wow, way to show off the defending national champions....CAA sucks
Jeff Bourne's email immediately following telling me to deal with it & it's the reality is infuriating.

I'm so mad
Embarrassed, sad, pissed, majorly bummed.

Only one streaming game for JMU - even the CAA is shafting us.

Houston and Rowe - go sell this one to recruits.

Apologists start telling us what bad fans we are with unfair expectations.

25k fans at a game, a national championship and one cbs streamed game.

Rediculous

maybe they don't want to show JMU because the results are going to end up like this:

or like this:

Ugh. I guess I'll just watch JMU in the playoffs this year.
If JMU plays to their potential, I am not seeing too many competitive games this season so maybe there is something to the comment about that being the reason. Still, I struggle with Stony Brook getting three TV games while JMU, URI and W&M only received one TV game. Why the imbalance?

i honestly don't know if that's the case, but it could be a factor

you don't see CBS putting Alabama-Vandy on TV.

You see Alabama-Florida.

Serious question: if you are the CAA and you (presumably) want maximum exposure, is it better to have a handful of competetive and exciting games or have a team be very successful and possibly blow out some teams?

You see Alabama and everyone else but Vandy.

I would argue that JMU will have more viewers than any Elon game no matter the score.

^This
I have no words for this "TV deal." This is some Mickey Mouse Sh!t!
This is one big WTF!

We seem to have the worst deal in all of FCS, it's almost like being a D-II team that gets one game a year shown "online" at an obscure website.

I could have been ok with ESPN3 or Twitter. Half of freakin FCS has ESPN3!

This Stretch/CAA.tv stuff is total garbage, even for streaming. Most games effectively aren't watchable at all, and no one outside our school/conference will ever bother trying to download some app to see it.

JD and JB couldn't have effed this up more if they tried. This is basically ZERO media coverage.
Hey JMU Nation, how's that national exposure taste?

CAA is making its own case for us to go to FBS.
While I am mad at the deal, there's a part of me that is saying "Keep it up CAA!" While our admin has been waiting for a deal wrapped in unicorns and rainbows, they may have to settle for sun rays.

you think this will be the straw? PLEASE.

JB had that rebuttal written and distributed so fast and the doors locked on the offices before we could even sort out how many games Maine has streamed. HE DOESN'T EFFING CARE... none of them do, at least not half as much as half of us. He is literally counting down the days until retirement.

I think the evidence points to this conclusion. We're not going anywhere, least of all FBS.

They would rather shrug and say "we did what we could".

can we also just pause for a second and recognize that we're fighting over online streamed games (half of the people commenting on CAA Football, JMU Football, and JMU Sports Facebook pages don't even realize we're ONLY talking streaming - one poor bastard even mentioned he purchased the $10 directTV sports package, "assuming usually a game or two gets on some obscure channel"... he's in for a rude awakening)

EVERY GAME SHOULD BE STREAMED... it's 20effing17... this is INSANE that we are still associated with these bottom feeder Div III BS programs.
