I thought there would be a drop off from Radford to Harry, but the coverage actually got more complete in my opinion. I think this is the least coverage we have had with less than 15 days to go before kickoff.

You'd think they could get an intern/ volunteer to cover practice better than what they have been this year.

I canceled the paper in July after about 15 years. Just about every day I receive two calls one from Williamsburg and Norfolk area numbers asking me to subscribe again. If they can pay people to make them calls daily they should be able to report more
+1
Every day I check the pilot for updates on practice, how the QB battle is looking, who is showing improvement, depth chart movement etc. And we get nothing. I think we've seen as much on VT as ODU so far and we're right down the street. Surely we could have gone without the articles (while interesting) on the local guy at Marshall and the two at JMU if it meant more coverage of the home team.
Yes. I miss Harry and am beginning to consider letting my subscription go after 23 years. Not ready to do that yet, but actually been thinking about it.
I have been reading the pilot for 40 years. The truth is the Pilot sucks. I cancelled our subscription months ago.
I continue to be a subscriber, but I get most of my news elsewhere. I just keep it for local business stuff. Luckily, the ODU site has done a good job with covering the practices.
I was just thinking that same thing this morning. I have pretty much reached the point where i stop checking the VP on line for information as part of my daily routine and just come here for my info. The lack of coverage is woefully disappointing.
The Monday morning paper is the worst. Virtually no content. I love having a paper and coffee each morning, but I'm rapidly losing interest.

I've actually been looking into different types of career paths and having just moved back to norfolk from Austin, this seems like an interesting start. I just Direct Messaged Harry about maybe working freelance for them in that facet. If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to shoot them over!

LOL I meant the whole aspect of sports coverage! I've always loved sports and I even used to have a University of Florida football and basketball coverage blog when I was in my young-mid teens. I do have a degree in communications and thanks to Steve Addazio, never was able to get my MBA, so maybe this is the next step03-razz! #MakeODUAthleticCoverageGreatAgain or #MODUACGA for short.
Since we haven't heard anything from the VP, does anyone know if there will be another scrimmage tomorrow night?

Start a sports blog. Plenty of writing experience and if it's good you can monetize it. Youtube style podcast?

We're all fairly avid fans of ODU sports, so you'll always find readership/viewership with us here.
If you make it a blog where you answer reader emails, you can call it "The Mail Satchel".
