Nice W. Wish it was during regular season....
Nice. Looks like we might be better than the middle of the road preseason cusa poll we got. Although C-USA is a fantastic soccer conference so it might just be that.

I'm planning on getting one of those voucher books for M/W soccer when I go to one of the matches next week. Gotta get that free scarf!

Great win. Should get us some votes this week. Got Charlotte and UNC on the horizon with a CCU game in between. Win 2 of 3 and we could be back in the polls.

BTW, whoever wrote the article on the Kentucky game on odusports.com should be fired, or beaten. I have complained about the poor writing in these game articles for two decades now, but this one is an atrocity. It's clear that this person has never read game articles before, or took an English class.
There is no excuse for this poor quality to continue.
The article was definitely not well written. Even worse is that I assume ODU has an administrator that approves content before it goes live. If not we are really small time.

There are administrators who monitor content. However, each writer writes and posts their own articles online. If glaring issues occur, then articles are pulled down. I wouldn't say this method is ideal, but it's not "really small time." I say that, because I personally know staffers in SEC/B10/Big XII schools and this is how they do it as well. This method expedites the material going online. The issue with it, however, is if you have a writer who can't cut the mustard.

Sorry, but I couldn't disagree with you more. Not having someone who approves final content that goes online is irresponsible and actually laughable for a large university.

I actually don't disagree with you regarding the operations, but my point was to the fact on it's how a lot of Universities work. I can point out at least a dozen of P5 schools that do it the same way. Not saying that it's how it should be, but how it actually is.
That is a sad state of operations. Surprising that P5 schools do it as well, but I'll take your word for it.
Talk about burying the lead.

Congratulations Monarchs! Great win over a Top 20 conference opponent.

Small time is as small time does.

Coaches Poll comes out tomorrow
The Monarchs beat the 49'ers 2-1 in Charlotte to remain undefeated in CUSA matches.
Alan Dawson is a great coach. Does it year after year.
Am I crazy or is ODU's success inversely proportional to preseason expectations? Maybe it's perception but it seems like ODU is more likely to make the NCAAs when everyone expects them to be bad and implodes when they're a preseason favorite. Ditto baseball.

I know you're not talking about basketball... because we never make the NCAAs.

Soccer.

Soccer.

yay
Notice ODU is playing at UNC later this month, that will be a great test.
We talking about soccer...
