damn!
Man, he's had some really bad luck. Feel terrible for him!
It is bad news. He must be heartbroken and he will be missed.
Awful news. With all the NFL preseason injuries, was thinking the other day how the Tigers have avoided injuries so far.

Hope Sam will take the medical redshirt and come back strong next year.
How many redshirt has he had?

You're right. Sounds like he already used it. From last November:

"Senior running back Sam Craft will miss the remainder of the season with a back injury, and the University of Memphis intends to apply for a hardship waiver to grant him a fifth season of eligibility, coach Mike Norvell said after practice Tuesday.

"He is eligible for a medical redshirt," Norvell said. "And we feel very confident that we’re going to be able to get that."
Tough end for a great Tiger. Hate it for him

Maybe not, I would think (if he wants it) that a sixth-year is certainly possible since both years would be medical. That is how Will Hudgens played six years for us.

If this is true, I am so VERY sorry for him.
May be time for him to start looking at his post football life and call it a career. He has a lot of great memories to look back on and a long, hopefully healthy life, ahead of him.
my wife was saying he looked heavy at the scrimmage on the south campus
To bad, but you always always always have to have quality depth at ALL positions. At WR we should be just fine.

Since the season hasn't started and he hasn't taken his NORMAL redshirt he should be able to just take a regular redshirt
I wonder how much BB eligibility he has left?

That's what age does to us. LOL

In all seriousness, I feel terrible for Sam. The guy is a True Tiger! He's been through a lot and always gives his all
he can get another waiver. I've heard of guys getting a 6th year because of injuries. It is rare though.
Didn't something like this happen to one of our QBs under Tommy West?
Will Hudgens
Man, I hate this for Sam. He is a quality young man all the way around.
