I want to preface this that in no way shape or form should history or statue be erased. I believe it is a travesty and downright terrorist to destroy history. Charlottesville are idiots, just like the rest of them for wanting to remove history. Charlottesville (where UVA sits) has brought this on themselves and now they are center stage for what could become a violent turn in this fight. Both sides resorting to violence are idiots and to egg on each other is also asking for trouble.

Unite the right supposedly had a surprise torch march last night with around a thousand, as they approached the Confederate monument, they surrounded around 40 Antifa. From that points, some fighting breaks out between the two, then Antifa pepper sprays, but not Unite the Right, but themselves. The events in Charlottesville today could be even more dangerous. Here is a video that was shared on Facebook - I do not condone, but want to share.

The video shows Unite the Right March and at the end their encounter with Antifa.

May the Antifa basement-dwellers leave this interaction disillusioned and broken. I don't care if Tim Kaine's hippee son, or any other dem elite's kis is involved. I want this crap stopped, with authority, and order restored. Screw these anarchists.

Just watched that entire thing as it's my home State, many friends and relatives went to Uva or live in C-ville or both and it's a scant 50 miles away. Home of Thomas Jefferson, no less.

Wow. I think a thousand is being conservative, that went on for not blocks, but seemingly miles. Never heard of this group and spend about 10 minutes a month on the bookface, so yea. But gotta say, pretty impressive.

And a bit unsettling if not downright scary as to where this all ends or culminates.

What I did find interesting, is that while I would have recommended perhaps candles instead of torches..., The number of these marchers covering their faces, donning walmart ninja costumes and starting fires, attacking people and wrecking bike racks and Starbucks.

How many punches were thrown? And aside from the ninja-warriors pepper spraying themselves how many were injured or muslim limousines torched?

Can't wait to see the FNN spin on this tomorrow. Oughta be epic.

Tom, what do you happens when you divide people into subgroups and play identity politics? You got LGBTs, blacks, Hispanics, Asians, women, college educated, high school educated, urban, rural... etc. Eventually, what happens is the largest group... whites... will organize to protect their interests. I'd rather have diversity of background and thought, but this is all a result of the left dividing people over the last 16 years. Race relations haven't been this bad since the early 90s and much of it has to do with the first black president and his Chicago style politics.

I tend to agree. There are idiots on both sides that do no help to their "cause". Heck, IMO, half of them are out there just to raise a ruckus and probably have no clue as to the history, etc, involved. I'm against removing any monuments due to a political fad; however, those that defend can be just as unruly as those that fight.
