Eric Wilson with a monster game last night for the Vikings. Led Vikings with 7 tackles and 2 broke up passes.

Our conference can't even get respect on Wilson's NFL Bio

We should change our conference's name to All-American Athletic Conference. People will get quality players confused with our conference and our reputation and page hits will skyrocket. Plus, we won't have to change our logo.

At least we'd be first in the phone book. 04-cheers

Funny...but it's not. Let's hope someone from the AAC has already contacted the network involved. It's enough trouble just trying to build a brand against conferences that have been in business 75 years or more much less having to backtrack and correct such misinformation.

Generally speaking though, the quality of "copy" given to on-air talent both locally and nationally has declined substantially. Frequent spelling and usage errors on the screen graphics and crawls are testimony to the declining state of journalism--news and sports.
Is history repeating itself? Injuries have thrusted Deyshawn Bond into the starting center role for the next few weeks for Indianapolis. As you may recall, he became the starter at UC for four years his freshman year after Dan Sprague was injured in Fall Camp.

That's the ankle of Derek Wolfe. He suffered a bad ankle sprain during practice today. A tear in his ligament as well but he will not need surgery and says he will be ready for week 1. Derek and the Broncos dodged a bullet. Glad for Wolfe.

So, affecting Zach Collaros, the QB up at the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL...

June Jones has been hired as the HC and Art Briles (yup...THAT Art Briles) has just been hired as OC. Zach fits their offensive scheme, so this could be interesting.

Appears Hamilton has changed course on hiring Briles.

Saw that this morning...
Pretty amazing run, well done Tion!
He's certainly earned himself an NFL job. If not on a 53 man roster he'll easily be on someone's practice squad. Good luck to Tion.

As a Lions fan, I think he deserves to be on their 53. With two porcelain dolls in the RB ranks (Abdullah and Riddick), we need 5, and he's better/more versatile than Asiata at the pricepoint right now. No UC bias coming into this at all.
The announcers were clearly excited by Tion's play.

Who are the cats on the cut-line this week?

I know the following, but can't remember any others off the top:

Tion Green at Detroit
Eric Wilson at Minnesota
Mike Tyson at Seattle
DeyShawn Bond at Indy

They get into garbage time and they can't be bothered to diverge from their brilliant dialogue to actual call the game.
Lions cut Asiata! Looking possible for Tion to make the roster.
