Has anyone heard anything about when/where fan day is? I think it would be cool to have it at the new practice facility under the pavilion.

Maybe we can give free tickets to it and the tuscalloser and auburn fans can get most of those tickets also.
Bump anyone know?
So are we not having a fan day this year?
Could the Sam Hunt concert double as fan day?

I thought about that, but I don't think so.
The way I see it, after all of the hard work put in by our fans over the last two years, September 2, 2017 is Fan Day!

It's going to be the biggest party we've ever thrown!
& the night of September 1 for 30% of the crowd.

I AGREE!!! And anybody who wants a "Fan Day" should buy a ticket and be at the game.

On game day you don't get to meet the players and get autographs. Some of us, already have season tickets but always enjoy fan day. Not sure if you're trying to take a shot at me about buying a ticket to the game when I am a season ticket holder. It was an annual tradition for us to go to fan day and get to meet the team and coaches.

Yeah, I loved going to this as a kid and had looked forward to taking my kids to it this year.

No shot intended. I wish there was a fan day also and have been going to em for over 20 years. Just the fact that after all our blood sweat and tears getting this thing back, for me just having a game to attend this fall is going to be a victory worth savoring and will be sweeter than any fan day Ive ever enjoyed.

I agree that the game will be way better than pretty much anything. Hopefully we still have a fan day or at least an opportunity to meet with the team and coaches to get autographs.
Would a "fan day" confined to a "meet & greet" session count for the NCAA regulations as a day of practice? If so, in this staff's hyperdrive to be as ready as possible for the Blazer Return on 9/2, they may have felt they would rather keep a practice as such - for this season anyways.
At this point it looks like a big fat no.

I'm disappointed, too, but I'll be assuaged on the 2nd.

Oh well. Maybe after one of the games the players can hang around for us to meet them.
Maybe it's just me, but standing in line for an hour while players autograph posters 1,000 times isn't my idea of a fun afternoon.

Between moving into a new facility and the various media and other events, my guess is it was low on the priority list this season.

Imagine how the coaching staff would feel about that level of inactivity if the session counted as a day of practice by NCAA rules? I believe the staff would prefer to have every practice count toward active preparation for the Blazer Return.

Every team does this. It's also another chance to sell more season tickets. Maybe next year we can have one.
Sept 2.
