Because it’s okay to discriminate against white and straight people.

Quote:The University of Minnesota is banning white and straight students from a safe space on campus, according to a Thursday report.

The school’s Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life hosts “Tongues Untied,” a space in which people can congregate to discuss the impact of sexuality, race and gender, according to Campus Reform. But not everyone is invited.

“For our allies: we do appreciate your voices and commitment to dismantling racism and homophobia; however, please note that this is a space created for LGBTQIA and/or same-gender-loving people of color,” the space’s description reads.

“If you identify as a queer and/or trans indigenous person or person of color, we welcome you to take part in our discussions,” states the group’s Facebook page.





A “White Privilege Checklist” found earlier in 2017 at the University of Minnesota contained statements such as “I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed,” and “Whether I use checks, credit cards, or cash, I can count on my skin color not to work against the appearance of financial responsibility.”

Well, that is one way to look at it.

What about heterosexual muslim men? What about black women?

I have to say, one of these gatherings would statistically be one of the least safe places on campus.

As long as there are no partners so we don't have to worry about domestic violence, you'd probably be correct. LOL

I hope not.

Yeah, the safe space is racist and bigoted, but who honestly cares and why? Maybe I'm an outlier, but I can honestly say that I have zero desire to spend considerable amounts of time in an area where admission is a product of race or sexual orientation.

I also have close to zero desire to spend time w/ anyone who has so little going on in their life that they have to create a self-identity that's based predominantly on their sexual orientation and/or skin color.

Honestly, this entire phase of cultural tribalism is dumb and needs to end, and it will end a heck of a lot sooner if one mans up and just drops it.
