As all of you have heard by now, Tony Shaver is working his magic in attempting to replace Jack Whitman (and Hunter Seacat) -- two big bodies that it hurt to lose. I argue that, although Cole Harrison did not score many points while at Dartmouth (69 career total, to be exact), he has the ability to affect the game away from the ball. And if it weren't for injuries, who knows how his career could have turned out.

Either way, I'll always take a 6'11" 245 pound transfer. Check out our in-depth analysis below! LET'S GO TRIBE!!!

nice write up!
You never know about guys who have a history of injury problems. Interesting that it was never mentioned in this coverage what the injuries were?

The grad transfers that I have seen play that transfer "down" or "up" can have a real impact if they fill a particular need and can stay healthy.

UNCC got a guy from Pitt, Joe Uchebo, who was plagues with injuries at Pitt and didn't play much. UNCC coach said that they hoped for 15 minutes per game from him. He wound up never leaving the court and had games with as many as 25 rebounds. He was an absolute beast.

I doubt we'll get this from the Dartmouth kid, but we'll settle for 15 productive minutes per game.

From some comments online, he seems to have had a bad case of mono as a freshman at Dartmouth. Possibly an injury on top of that, too -- it's not clear. I haven't seen any mention of what the injury was that kept him out last year.
