MAC Media Special Guest

Must be someone trying to justify the schedule

Two and possibly three weekday games starting at 6 pm (inconvenient for those coming from Chicago and does nothing for DeKalb businesses)
Friday game starting at 8:30 pm (9:30 pm start on the east coast for BC fans)
Toledo away game starts at 5:00 pm in the Chicago/DeKalb area (great for Chicago/DeKalb area fans to miss half the game before they get home from work)
They are killing the fans ability to attend and watch games and therefore killing the MAC and NIU
From bus league to DVR league without live fans
Tell them to
Take Back The MAC! #TakeBackTheMAC

+1 MAC front office and weak ADs at MAC schools have destroyed this conference, absolutely shredded it. If it was not for great coaches and players over the years this conference would be completely gone.

Want to get really angry?

I've heard the MAC Championship game is going to move to canton. I think that's the reason for the special guest(s).

Canton while not as convenient as Detroit is not all bad. OK, an open air stadium on December 2nd may be a little cold. Will the kickoff time be 3:00 am?

Outdoor stadium? In December? At night? Enjoy yourselves, kids!

It is all bad lol. The stadium won't look as empty because it's smaller. That's literally the only upside.
Sure hope they upgrade the turf or at least paint the endzones well in advance. Last years hall of fame game was cancelled because the field was a disaster.

Why? MAC website says Ford Field.
If the Lions can play there all year, the MAC can also.

Yea that is a bad idea. I can only imagine the attendance. I most likely won't be going to another one there when NIU gets back to the MACC

wat

it'll be at FF this year. i'm talking about in the future.
I would prefer having the Championship at the home of the team with the best record before Canton.

If the MACC ends up in Canton at some point then they may as well change the name of the Conference to the MOC.

The "Mostly Ohio Conference".
It just won't happen.
The MAC is not going to trade Ford Field for that rust bucket that is Canton's stadium.

We used to call it the Mid-Ohio Conference. Either way.
They should move it to the Edward Jones Dome. Lots of open dates. Or wherever the **** the Tennessee Titans play because Nashville is cool.

Six teams in the conference are from Ohio. When half of the conference is from one state, it seems logical the championship should take place in that state. Why would anyone have a problem with this?

In terms of collegiate and high school football, Ohio is amazing. It's right up there with Florida and Texas. That should be embraced, not mocked. I used to love going to Ohio. I would imagine most players still do.
The championship game at Ford Field is the best and one of few good things about the MAC. That venue is perfect. Never change it. If it moves to Canton in frigid weather, I'll reallocate that money for the bowl instead. No way I'm freezing my ass off in Canton.
