Missing from the roster:

OL Mohammed Elazazy

I am guessing that Elazazy was either missed for some reason, or he has turned into a grey shirt because of an eligibility thing or something. He is still quite active for WMU stuff on his social media.
He's in Kalamazoo, so he's likely a grey shirt.

I'm assuming and read somewhere that Kaiser Carlton is also a grey shirt? RB from Macomb Dakota. He's tight with Brendan "swat" Siwajek. Good to see a trio of Cougars to join Balabani in Kzoo. From my backyard to my alma mater.

Jaylen Hall too.
I recently viewed Jaylen Halls video and thought that he might be an impact freshman. I know his star rating isn't high as some, but
he is quick, elusive, great hands, fast and very impressive. An additional year for him to adjust to college and the college game will
be of great advantage to him. I usually don't put myself out like this, but I think he is going to be the next Broncos future big time receiver.

He's a bit skinny and is probably going to need a year of development. I think Sanders and Arnett might be a bit more college ready.

I don't see the worry about our receivers. I think Curtis, Eskeridge, Watson, Graves, Broersma will be fine as a whole. We'll use the tight end more, and guys like Bellamy out of the backfield.

If guys were being covered in the spring, that's a good thing. One, our DB's are a strength of this team. Two, it's only going to make these guys better.

Agree
Breakout year for Anton Curtis.

Like seeing Macomb county kids, but I prefer when they are from Ike, my alma mater. Go Eagles! Beat Dakota!
I agree with Stampede. Hall needs a year in the weight room to pack on some muscle, but he definitely has potential. If any of the freshmen receivers contribute right away, my bet is on Tyron Arnett. Luke Sanders could also see playing time.

I also agree that Anton Curtis will be our leading receiver this year. He's an athletic freak, a real playmaker type.

From the walk-ons, I really like Jack Knipper. Big frame, strong, has a nose for the ball. Give him a year of strength and conditioning and see what he can do.
I have a sneaky feeling that Boersma might be a nice surprise this season... He is a speedy dynamic after the catch kind of kid... his tape reminded me of a younger Daniel Braverman... If we still use that swing pass and miss direction we used a few years back he might be a nice spark plug to offset our likely early lack of a downfield threat...

I agree w/ your Macomb county sentiments. But, I'm going w/ the Chippewa Valley Big Reds & #21 Stefan Claiborne. Beat Dakota!
I like seeing the Macomb kids as well, but we need some more Armada kids....Go Tigers!.....no wait our football program was crap, nevermind

I was there when Claiborne blocked the XP to break Dakotas 15 game streak vs the Big Reds. Kid is a special teams stud. Was glad when he committed to Western.

Eisenhower had a great season. Dakota couldn't move the ball on Ike. As for the Cass Tech game, I thought DPJ was out of bounds when I first saw that amazing TD grab on TV.

Ya, I wasn't there but that was what I heard as well. It was a great year, and I thought we might finally get a championship. Ike had a run of being bridesmaid. Some tough losses.
There is likely going to be freshmen that will play, like every year, but besides the kicker, I always hope for a red shirt year.
After comparing this new roster to the Spring one, I make the following observations:
1. I am surprised with the low attrition. Only Paul Engram LB and Keenan Erb K from the Spring roster are no longer listed. Engram was mentioned earlier. Kennan was a walkon and we already have 3 kickers listed. Usually we lose 3-5 kids from Spring to start of Fall camp. Other than Braster, we have not lost anyone due to the coaching change. I think that speaks volumes.
2. The weights have been updated and are almost all moving in the right direction. Most players have added 5 - 10 pounds. Brooks up 30, Balbani up 17. A few guys have lost a few pounds where it looks like it made sense. I really don't see how first or second year guys play much when I see how each year players build their bodies to be better.
3. Yes, we only have 13 seniors which is low. But all but 3 or 4 will be starters and most will be All Conference type players that we will sorely miss after this year.

Do we know what happened to Paul Engram?
