Yeah that's cute but GCU has thunder Dan.
Can we move this thread to the NMSU sub board? This was posted by Frank on the other board as well. Thanks.
Frankly, we don't have that much activity on this board to be selective with our posts and threads.

I see no problem with GCU fans or any other WAC fan posting their games on this board as well.

Post threads about your players, recruiting class, coaches... who cares. Incite debate.

I may not agree with Frank in all his posts but at least he keeps this board active.

Josh and I have been trying to get the NMSU board put in with the rest of the WAC boards. We have jurisdiction over all the other WAC boards, except that one. NMSU's board is under SBC control.

After this football season ends will it be given to you guys?
NBA Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor, Seattle U reach 1958 National Championship game, but fall to Adolph Rupp's Kentucky. A game no WAC program, not even NMSU, has reached. Still to this day the best WAC-school basketball alum, Elgin Baylor, won 1958s NCAA Tourny MVP despite playing the with broken ribs. Immediately after this, Seattle U produced more NBA players from 1960-1969 than any other school.

People always want to talk NMSU poor attendance over the last couple of seasons but it was only 10 years ago when we averaged over 9,000 per game. New Mexico State is a sleeping giant. If Chris Jans can get Las Cruces and the students at NMSU excited about Aggie basketball again, the Pan American Center will be rocking again like it did in the 1990's and 2007.

How many 20 win seasons does Seattle have since the 1969 season?
Frank chill out. He was stating a cool fact. Seattle has a great history.
Itd be better if whoever was in charge of the program in the early 70s didnt think shutting the program down to NAIA was a good idea. Never been able to find a clear reason why it even happened. After being a nationally relevant program in the 50s and 60s, if SU never left D1 who knows where SU would be today.

NMSU and SU both have rich histories that are practically identical in tourny appearances, Final Fours, all time greats, etc. Unfortunately SUs had a 30 year dark period.

Dickie V calling GCU's 1988 National Championship

Dickie V have called NMSU games at the Pan American Center before, even nicknaming our student section as the Panamaniacs. Dickie V also named the Pan American Center as one of the toughest places to play in the Big West during the 1990's.
