I predict this game will be within 10points heading into the 4th quarter.

Dear Luckeyone,
Thanks for that report from Kentucky. I hope it isn't going to be what they predicted, and I think it will be closer than 35-7.
Eagle fans need to get realistic about this game. A 4 TD underdog is about right.

A simple eye opener guys..........Kentucky beat Missouri last year 35-21. Missouri destroyed us 61-21. Nuff said.

Kentucky is a legit middle of the pack SEC team, that won 7 games last year, including wins against Missouri, South Carolina, Vandy, Mississippi State and Louisville. Their head coach, Mark Stoops, has been recruiting very, very well the past 4 years, so they have a lot of talent on that team.

The author assumes our DLine will be 'severely outmanned' by their OLine, and they 'should be able to run and score at will' against us. On this assumption, I disagree. We've got some big boys on our DLine, and I find it highly unlikely that Neathery will just let them run the ball down our throat. If they have early success, he'll load the box and make them beat us with the pass (something our previous DC did not do). Kentucky is a very good, run first team, so I'm sure they'll try to establish the run early.......so it should be a test of the big boys and defensive adjustments during the first quarter and a half.

On the flip side, my biggest concern is their defense running over our OLine, and just overwhelming us with agressiveness and athletic ability. They have a 4 star DTackle that goes 6'7, 360!

I hope we can make a much better showing than last year's Mizzou embarrassment. Get out of there without another 40 point blowout, with no injuries, and live to fight another day.

I reserve the right to change my opinion after watching our first 3 games, haha.

I basically ignore articles like these way out of season.

They are nothing but filler articles. Writing for the sake of writing.

Trying to predict how good EMU will be for their fourth game is absurd. Can we play at least a game or two to see what we really have?

Steve,

I wouldn't call it absurd, this whole site is for our amusement.... :-)
Luckey,

Lot of forum posts are for legitimate info and other stuff basically low value stuff.

This forum has a lot of good information esp. on recruiting, players and player status, schedules, coaching and administration, etc.

Once we figured out most of the 2017/18 MBB schedule I was able to plan some trips the 2nd half of 2017. I hope to attend the Long Beach game as part of a trip to So. Cal. and maybe get down to Florida for a game (I have relatives there).

I do appreciate the information posters dig up which I would not otherwise know... Sure as hell beats doing Google searches all day. Lol.

I mean, SBN kinda forces its blogs to write more than they should, so I won't really fault the Kentucky blog for just doing what its masters told it to do.

But I don't think not imagining the future at all is worth any good. Because if we didn't try to tap into our creativity and imagination about what could happen, then what's the point of following sports teams? That's half the fun.
