At least he went somewhere that is already dead so his complacency won't help kill it.

Congrats to Brian. I certainly wish him well. Despite what happened to him as AD, I believe that he is still loyal to the Blazers and will help us out in his new position whenever possible.

I can't help but to wonder how Pres. FRW and AD MI might feel about this....
My guess would be not too great.

I don't know if it's good or bad but I just hope that he makes meetings as awkward as possible for Ray Watts

Updated with an interesting quote from UAB....
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2017/...llege.html
AL.com asked UAB for a response from Clark and Ingram to Mackin going to work for C-USA. UAB's chief communications officer, Anne Buckley, provided this statement: "UAB and UAB Athletics wish Mr. Mackin well in his future endeavors."

The quote from the Chief Communication Officer says it best..
Quote:"UAB and UAB Athletics wish Mr. Mackin well in his future endeavors."
Obviously, not very happy. Maybe now, they'll try to get us into the AAC.

Something like, "We look forward to working with Brian in his new role, with hopes of better positioning Conference USA to meet the needs of the institutions and student athletes."

That response came straight from an HR manual. It was better than a few responses in this thread.
