UNC is currently ranked sixth in the Learfield Directors’ Cup standings and is assured of its 20th top-10 finish in the 24-year history of the award. The Tar Heels will finish atop the ACC standings for the third straight year and for the 18th time overall. The final Directors’ Cup standings will be announced later this week following the conclusion of the College World Series.
Along with the men’s basketball team, the men’s tennis, field hockey and men’s and women’s soccer teams reached their respective sport’s Final Four.
