That's gotta be the longest highlight reel ever. Not a pg. More like a sg who dribbles pretty well.
positives: looks about 6-5 and fairly strong. good stroke and range. nice feel for the game. strong finisher who gets up pretty well off of one foot. state champ who should bring a winning attitude. played for legendary Michigan HS coach Dan Fife so should be well prepared from a coaching standpoint. had plenty of mid major offers.
questions: his size and athleticism was generally dominant against his hs competition. He won't have that advantage in college so how does his game translate? i didn't see much evidence of lateral quickness in his tapes, so may have some defensive issues. the flip side of him being a strong finisher is that he doesn't seem to have any interest in passing the ball. not much elevation on his jumper. kind of a navigato flat footed shooting style which may limit him against bigger better college defense.
he was a Milwaukee commit for a while (they just had a coaching change w their HC going to Butler after OSU hired Butler's coach), so maybe he got a release). from twitter sounds like he and the Duquense transfer Littleson are friends. His HS team was loaded, Too bad we couldn't get his pg teammate Loyer. Clever little guard who is headed to michigan state in 2018.

Confused in that he doesn't appear to have a ton of high level skills? And leaving U Milwaukee at this late date, coaching change considered appears to be a waste of scholarship? Oh boy...time will tell for sure.

Maybe LaVall Jordan didn't have a spot for him at Butler and he didn't want to play for the new coach.

Wasn't Navigato a late spring pickup after Hurley left Buffalo? He didn't have a lot of high level skills other than shoot either. Although he is 6'7" not 6'5".
Dylan appears to be used to playing against high level competition in high school. The more competition at the guard spots, the better. We play 3 guards the majority of most games so it makes good sense to have fresh hustling guys available.

If he needs it I presume he'll use it. He does look awkward but in those clips, he neither shies away nor has difficulty creating a shot OR going around smaller, presumably quicker players. His quicks are deceptive. Could be the size?
reached out to the EMU board which has some posters who are longtime SE Michigan HS hoops heads. Here's a response on Alderson and Littleson
"Haven't been following MI h.s. recruiting too closely (as in the more distant past) but Alderson has been ranked in the top 10 by Prephoops Michigan. Supposedly he was a WI Milwaukee commit.
Littleson was ranked in the 6, 7, and 8 group with Ty Groce (EMU) and Corey Allen (UDM). Groce sat out last season and will be a redhsirt frosh for us this year. Allen had a very good frosh year at Detroit-Mercy.
