Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl
South Florida Bulls vs. Georgia Bulldogs

AutoNation Cure Bowl
Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs. Georgia Southern Eagle

Boca Raton
Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders

Birmingham Bowl
Memphis Tigers vs. Missouri Tigers

Hawaii Bowl
Temple Owls vs. Colorado State Rams

Frisco Bowl
Houston Cougars vs. BYU Cougars

Military Bowl
Navy Midshipmen vs. Pitt Panthers

St. Petersburg Bowl
UCF Knights vs. vs. Florida Atlantic Owls
Military Bowl won't be over-excited about a rematch of their 2015 bowl. I think it's another year or two before we repeat there.

My prediction for Navy? Hawaii Bowl - Navy will sell more tickets there than anyone else in conference. Probably more than any team not named "Hawaii." Since we don't have it every year, bowl and conference will want to grab this as a win. Since Navy will be in the thick of the division/conference race, that will give AAC and mwc a chance to match up teams at the top (but not champs) for a compelling matchup.
Three P5 plus BYU... Not bad I guess... Is that right based on our 2017 tie-ins? If we don't make the Access bowl, we might only get two? That would be a bad bowl cycle...
Being a ATL Bull I'd pay anything to go to the Peach Bowl but damn that would definitely be an away game. If it's not USF that makes it there against UGA I'd probably still go wearing Memphis, Tulsa, UH etc. colors!
Access - USF
Memphis - Military
Houston - Birmingham
Tulsa - Frisco
Navy - Hawai'i
UCF - Boca
Temple - St Pete
SMU - Cure

that's my guess
They need to be more consistent and put the Temple Owls against the FAU Owls.

Then we'll have

Bulls vs Bulldogs
Tigers vs Tigers
Cougars vs Cougars
and
Owls vs Owls

Every other year we only have 2 so called "power" 5 opponents in bowls. In even years, we have 4 "p"5 opponents.
Our bowl line up never ceases to be the most depressing aspect of being in the AAC. At least it features more P5 opponents than the other G5 conferences.
Please not Birmingham again.
You're right Attack, but how do we fix it without adding a couple of glamour teams? BYU/Boise football only? Otherwise, I like the AAC. And I don't see Big 12 adding either of us due to competition in recruiting.

Not sure it can be fixed. Any bowl with a payout high enough to attract a high pick from a P5 will grab the P5 tie before taking the AAC champ. The only realistic way I can see for the AAC to get a bowl with a high P5 selection as an opponent is for the AAC to create its own bowl and invest enough in said bowl that it can have a payout high enough to attract a high selection from a P5. I see no real support within the conference to do that. In fact, we did just the opposite (rather than spend money upgrading the opponent, we sold off our Miami Bowl to ESPN).

The only other option is to make that part of our next ESPN contract. ESPN has a few bowls where they could make that happen if they desired to do so. For instance, they could move and drastically upgrade the payout of the Frisco Bowl in order to create a high quality "anchor" bowl for the AAC.
I like the fact that the Frisco bowl does not have anyone opposite, so we can get BYU or a leftover P6 opponent. Better than playing Sun Belt.

The problem with the Miami Beach Bowl was that it was in wrong location, not large enough and too late to the game to get better opponents and tv time.

If the league wants to move up it needs to target a current bowl with a decent tv date and opponent and buy into that bowl as a co- sponsor to increase payout and get a better opponent.
I would look to target a bowl in a current AAC school city that might be interested in that.
The old Champ's Bowl in Orlando or Liberty Bowl in Memphis might be best bets.

I think we need to buy back into the Liberty Bowl with Memphis' help. Send our runner up there (or champion the years the do not make NY6) vs. a SEC team.

That would give us a decent bowl line up.

Conference Champion - NY6
Runner Up - Liberty Bowl vs. SEC
East Division - Military Bowl vs. ACC
Fourth Place Team - Birmingham vs. SEC
and so on.

we won't turn down a chance to play an SEC team 3 hours from Memphis...simple fact.

they have the SEC and Big 12 (what else do they need?)...we were lucky to get the back-up spot.

if we're gonna push our weight around we should buy out CUSAs spot in the 'Heart of Dallas Bowl'
Disappointing that the Liberty won't play ball with us. Maybe we could shoot for alternating years with Big 12/SEC rather than back-up spot, sending our champ or runner-up minimum.

not to the folks who run the Liberty Bowl and the Memphis Convention/Visitors Bureau...any two teams from the SEC and Big 12 are guaranteed to bring well over 50,000 fans plus sell thousands upon thousands of hotel rooms. (moreover, all those folks are sure to go to Beale and run up a big beer/food tab)
Tulsa vs Texas in the Frisco bowl. Preview of 2018's SWC matchup.
