There's quite a bit I dislike about Trump, but on this issue he's dead on. It's time to put the executive branch on a fiscal diet when they create nothing but government bloat while accomplishing little in the way of safety and consumer protection. And in one of the sillier paperwork nuggets I've seen in a while, he got rid of a rule that requires federal agencies to provide continual updates on their preparedness for Y2K...yes, that Y2K.

I was listening to some radio host on a drive about a week ago that said that after Trump implemented the "you must eliminate 2 regulations for each one you want to create", barely any new regulations have been adopted. It seems the bureaucracy would rather hold onto everything they currently have instead of getting rid of two stupid and needless regulations for one that is needed.
Surprised they haven't figured out how easy it is to work with and incorporate two eliminated regs into a new one.

Two being eliminated: Can't disrupt a little green spotted frogs habitat on your property.
Can't disrupt a little green spotted birds habitat on your property.

New reg: Can't disrupt ANY native wildlife's habitat on your property.

2 for 1 is an optics trick. A charlatans handicraft.

I said good for Trump at the time but if the guy Kasich had to get a restraining order against likes it, I had to think about it a little deeper. Had to be a fatal flaw I was over looking. Found it. 03-wink
