Last time I was there was Beamer's last game, vs UNC, for the Coastal Division iirc.

Nice enough people. They remind me of red cabbages in Tennessee gear, and that's just the smell. Rougenecks of the finest caliber. If you're REALLY looking to piss one off, remind them that "All dirt roads lead to Blacksburg".

Now, the VT video replay guy should be shot. Influenced the officials at the UNC game and made that game a LOT closer than it needed to be. Somebody UNC running down the sidelines gets to the 10. Replay replay replay replay time-out. Time-in. "The previous play is under review". Overturned. Questionable VT play? Crickets.

We could learn a lot of somethings from him before completion of the new million-dollar scoreboard.

(They really are mostly nice, and mostly harmless.)

My wife and I are going as guests of the CEO of my biggest client. I have no idea yet where we will be sitting.
I will be tailgating with them in the German Club area.

The German Club is off Southgate Drive, not far from Lane Stadium.

To give a little background since the name is misleading, the German Club is the oldest non-greek student fraternal organization at Virginia Tech. They're basically a service-oriented frat. You'll see members selling programs around Lane Stadium - they're hard to miss, as they're usually dressed in the preppy business suit (khakis, white oxford, tie, blazer combo). I had a bunch of friends at school who were German Club members. Often fit the preppy mold, but in general, were a bunch of great guys. They had fun parties too haha.

I heard we will probably start in lot 5 ourselves

I'm seeing lots of friends on Facebook starting to post about getting ready to head out.

It's interesting that so many people are still going to Blackburg to see a bad loss. Is it because of the in-state thing?

Win, lose or draw. Being on the same field with VT in less than 9 years is a big deal for everyone in the State of Virginia. Being there to cheer ODU for the first time in this series will be special.

My daughter goes to VT so I'll get to see the Monarchs play AND as a bonus get to see the kid!
