Quote:Gunfire and explosions have been heard near a hotel and casino complex close to the airport in the capital of the Philippines.

One video posted on Twitter showed crowds of people rushing out of Resorts World late at night and in another the sound of shooting could be heard.

Islamic State was swift to say "lone wolf soldiers" from the terror group carried out the attack.

Local media reported armed men had entered the complex through a side door and shot guards before taking their weapons.

They are said to have screamed IS slogans and then poured a flammable substance on gaming tables, before setting them alight.

The fire service said there was a blaze burning on the second floor of the building.

Armed teams of special forces and ambulances are also at the scene.

There was also understood to have been a firefight lasting up to 40 minutes.

Parts of Mindanao and points south better be ready for the government's response, because hell is about to rain down on them.
They are not claiming this is a terrorist attack even though IS-linked group has claimed responsibility. instead, they say it is because of a deranged man who was addicted to gambling. So far 36 have died, not including the gunman, and 54 were injured http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/metr...ef/story/. Sounds strange, because the guy was well armed. With the fighting in Marawi, Lanao del Sur, Mindanao, it makes you wonder if the attack on the World Resorts is not a retaliatory attack. Or is it an effort by the oligarchy here in the Philippines and the US State Department in their efforts to force President Duterte to act on Martial Law in order to find ways to oust him through public sentiment. Before anyone claims conspiracy theory, you should read the leaked report from December 2016 from the outgoing Ambassador Philip Goldberg that laid the groundwork to oust Duterte as President of the Philippines https://geopolitics.co/2016/12/29/us-sta...y-insider/ If you know the climate, you know that Duterte has had a war against drugs since coming into office. Many have speculated that narco-politics is behind the recent attacks and have hired IS inspired Maute and others to commit acts of terror to try and re-establish the drug trade in the Philippines. The Philippines was becoming a Mexico in the drug trade. But when Duterte came to power and began fighting drugs, the US State Department created a plan with the opposition to oust Duterte.
