Hours after the New York Times reported—and multiple news outlets confirmed—that President Donald Trump had asked former FBI Director James Comey to drop the bureau's investigation into Michael Flynn, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said the president's mounting scandals were inching towards Watergate proportions.

"I think we've seen this movie before," the Arizona senator said at the International Republican Institute's Freedom Awards on Tuesday. "I think it's reaching a point where it's of Watergate size and scale, and a couple of other scandals that you and I have seen. It's a centipede that the shoe continues to drop."

04-cheers So, so true.
I have a hunch that Pence is involved in all of this. I mean, who else gains besides Pence and the McCain/Graham wing? Everything is too coincidental not to be coordinated and it is a dangerous game.

Trump needs to put Pence in a box and purge his inner circle of career swamp critters.

Starting to? Amash basically was going on anti-Trump screeds since the primary system started.

So to say "starting to".. not even close.

I just see a difference between being against someone and talking investigations and/or impeachment.

Tom, that's the point, Amash was one of those who was sounding off very early that if Trump was nominated, he was one of those that was talking about business dealings/security issues.

I'd have to find it but I think Amash was one of the first who basically said "he {trump} would be impeached within the first 6 months (or maybe he said a year?)", but couldn't say what. (It might have been Sasse, but I think it was Amash).

There aren't enough Senators willing to sacrifice their careers to convict him.
