That would be a nice game. Kudos to Sparty for being willing to schedule us, even if it is in East Lansing.

At the reception in Cleveland, I could've swore I heard 2 SEC opponents. Perhaps that got changed

MSU has played AT a couple directional Michigan schools IIRC. Would be a nice coup to get a return game.

Ultimately, that's up to the SEC and the member schools. There's a chance UT was considered, but then a school or two considering bringing the Rockets in grabbed a really low FBS school like UNC Charlotte, Old Dominion, or Liberty.

It looks like UT has a 1AA/FCS opening in 2019 and two openings (probably one FCS and one FBS) in both 2020 and 2021.

Completely agree. A doubleheader with the men's and women's teams would be fun (though a nightmare on gameday for the athletic department).

That would be a great exchange. I imagine as done, done for economic benefit? Hopefully we don't go in as a charity case, "thank you for letting us come to your place." That would be sad, I'd rather play New Hampshire.

OK, no I wouldn't. But I wouldn't want a game schedule against a P5 that was going to clean out the Dept. wallet.
