Mayes to the Orangemen
What's the assessment of the overall impact to the secondary?

Is this the move someone hinted toward that people were nervous if it was Huff? I think this is a tough show to fill, but next up. Mayes had one yet of eligibility left I believe
This doesn't even make sense he was going to start again. Did Buirge take his spot?

They must really like one of either smith, foster or buirge more. Mayes was never great, but he was solid. Maybe it's just a a youth movement looking to the future. I don't think it impacts too much.
Smith was damn good last year and only getting better.

They must've really got better in the offseason for them to be taking his reps.
Grad transfers are getting more and more common. Is this a case of losing a starting job or more exposure in the ACC? Syracuse has a tough schedule in conference and has a lot of MAC ties. The DLine coach is Vinson Reynolds who played for us 2000-2004. Interested to know if he was poached or encouraged and found a good fit.

Section C suddenly got quieter!
So......, what makes him think that he'll start for Syracuse in a better conference if he was average for us? I don't get it. People want to leave for more exposure, but than guys like Jimmie Ward and KG can come to our program, get drafted in basically the same system without having to shop teams/conferences.

Maye's was not going to start he was splitting number two reps with burge behind smith with Allen starting on the other side

Was that due to good play by Smith, bad play by Mayes or a combination of the two?

Or perhaps an attitude problem?
