The Big East was never really talked about when it was still around, so I don't really understand why the desire to do this.

All those years post-Temple the Big East spent at 8 members, were years wasted where they should have been expanding to add football members while they still had the BCS bid. Could have built current G5 programs into bonafide "P6" programs and saved the Big East/AAC NY6 auto bid
