Good thing, indeed! Because Yosemite won't be there in 4 years. No national parks or monuments will be.

Trump will probably start fracking Yellowstone and start the whole thing.

Well last time the lava only got about as far as where Dallas is now.
Its due to blow any day in geological terms. Anytime in the next couple hundred thousand years.

Nature will take care of that. Eventually.

An example of a miss. A more accurate title would be "Trump order aims to rescind Obama's last minute effort, against the will of Congress and local citizens, to keep citizens out of Federal lands."

One fracking should do it.

Iowa's got nothing worth keeping.
Southern Nevada needs to be a solar power plant.

LOL that farmland is too dam valuable. In Ohio we have a few all east in hilly areas. Not much.
Im for this. There is way too much land owned by the government that is NOT scenic and can be exploited responsibly for resources. Our national treasures (Yosemite, Yellowstone...ect) will not be impacted one iota by this.

Way to much. Who needs so many national parks. Look at the map, it seems the entire western US is a national park. We need to make ourselves dependent on no one to survive. One reason Japan started WWII with the US. They lacked oil, and they got it in the form of bombs and bullets.

Considering that a Yosemite is more than 50% bigger than any city in the lower 48, and an oil drilling site is typically smaller than JFK airport, I don't think it's going to ruin the park.

Maybe if Obama did not decide to make billions of acres "monuments and protected" as a way to stop exploration for resources, then Trump would not have taken this step.
One more example of Trump having to undo the mistakes of the Obama administration.

In the waning days of his administration, Barack Obama has been gobbling up land and eliminating potential wealth at a rate unprecedented in American history.

Imagine a free republic where an individual can arbitrarily take away property rights and wipe out billions of dollars in potential value with the stroke of a pen.

Our founders would have found it preposterous, but that is what we have inherited in America in 2016.

But that is only the tip of the iceberg of Obama's attempt to create a legacy of environmental preservation. In all, Obama has taken 554,590,000 acres of land and sea out of use for private citizens and out of the deliberative processes of government.

Very PC of you LeFlaneur calling it mistakes. It's not a mistake if you do something on purpose.
