Why would a press release tell us to go to itself to get more information???

Not really much information in that article. Have they decided yet how much to jack up the prices before putting them on sale? 03-wink Will it be worth the drive after the non-day-shift-workers have had all-day to pick over? Is there lots of stuff, a few left overs...
Last year it was the day of the canceled spring game. And the selection was good. This is also one of few opportunities to get bigger sizes as most of this is athlete wear.

It is worth stopping by if you are in the area.
Is the merchandise used, new or both ?
Are the prices marked up? Or marked down?

Good values. I am wearing one of the shirts I got last year now. Choices you do not see in the store usually.

Now why they cannot use a web portal for people out of town is beyond me.
Good selection but horrible long lines at checkout. I was told at 9:30am the lines went down the stairs to the ticket office. I'm surprised people didn't leave without paying...

Both. Most merchandise is new; however, game worn jerseys are available. Rumor is everything UA must go because we've inked a contract with Nike.

I noticed from pics on instagram / twitter, that all of the winter workout gear was Nike...figured they had switched. Looks like we'll be seeing some different uni's this season.

Yep, Terry, the protect this house logo is history... Hopefully they keep the blue trim/markings in the GB in some capacity...
I went to the sale. T-Shirts $15.00. Looked like the kind that gets shot out of the cannon at BB games. They had gloves that would not fit any adult. They had shoes too. SIZE 17!! There can't be much left today to pick from. I hope they get rid of that UA banner that wraps around the Glass Bowl as well as all those big signs advertising companies. They look tacky. The Glass Bowl is not a Triple A Ball Park.

The Glass Bowl is stuck in the 1970s with those big advertisement signs you're talking about. This stadium desperately needs to replace all of those signs with an LED ribbon board stretching the entire length of the east side grandstands. You gotta think big in these situations, go all out, especially since we're behind the times.

The GB back in the 70's had a press box not much larger than the one in the old Devilbiss HS stadium, with not much more capacity.
Granted, AstroTurf and a 3000 seat upper deck went in eventually, that decade. Though I agree that an led ribbon board along with new light standards would go a long way in making the GB a complete stadium. Certain factions back in the day wanted to scale down the GB from 30,000 to 26,000 seats, along with Cetennial Hall from a really cool 11,000 seat design to 9,000. Don' t get me wrong, I love the 7300 setup we have now, along with the east side renovation, but as stated, the cheesy dasherboard old Sports Arena look has to go.

All you need is MONEY. If we had more fans in the stands for football and basketball that may help, but on this board all I see is the same people bitching about what the university should do.

Some of the bitching is justified...
At least I'm not threatening to not renew my season tickets I've had for 30 plus years...

This is a sports message board, meant simply for the sake of conversation. Fans voice their opinions on topics/aspects that they think could benefit our university we love so much...

EMU somehow managed to pull $35 million out of thin air for its new athletic facilities plan. Clemson has recently invested $55 million for a new football complex, all the while nearing completion of a $63.5 million renovation to its basketball arena. An LED ribbon board would cost less than $1 million, probably around $800,000. Where are those schools getting all that money?!
Clemson can call 100 people and get $25M over a weekend. I'm not convince that Learfield holds us back a little bit in revenue. We have to remember that when "Centennial Hall" hall was proposed the interest rates were 15%+...the proposed design would have been cool (clear roof that would have lit up the area) but an 11,000 seat arena barely half full today would have been an issue. I have no idea how EMU keeps funding sports? Total sham in both attendance and commitment.
